I don't think it's too far fetched to believe that sometime in the future (maybe 20 years from now) MUSL (Powerball) and Mega Millions will merge and we'll have a National Lottery . With jackpots of $1 Billion being the norm.

PB $25m rollover limit may be wrong
Todd: PB record (~295m) or US record (~366m)? I still think MUSL wanted to acknowledge the invasions of Greenwich, CT, during huge Powerball jackpots.

Only 138 Million!?
I thought that the jackpot would be much higher...If no one wins Friday, it better go to $200 Million. If not then they should just call it The Big Game , because where are the bigger faster rising jackpots we were promised?

Complaining about Powerball's changes?
I disagree. If you want lesser prizes play the smaller state only lotteries (if your state has one). The whole idea behind Mega Millions and Powerball is insanely large jackpots. Hence the insanely horrible odds of winning.Even the lowest prize is harder to win.

Anybody find out the Powerball changes?
That is insain logic, but that may be it. So, when the PB states start flooding NY for MegaMillions tickets, will MegaMillions put in a $25,000,000 cap? Most people play for the grand prize. I'm surprise the PB power play option is as successful as it is....or isn't. Even with the increased odds, PB will never have a $250,000,000 jackpot ever again. This is gonna' kill there sales when there MM neighbors have bigger jackpots 65+% of the time.

If you won a large amount of money...
Are you sure that's not 'urban legend'? No body can win a type of 6/49 jackpot 3 times. Well, if he played $10,000 a week for a life time and live to be 100 years old, it could happen. Twice in a year, ok, that could happen, but not 3 times. There are better odds of hitting the MegaMillions game twice in a year then winning 3 6/49 jackpots in.....how many years?

I bet there is gonna be no winner!
Yeah but based on how Big Game jackpots increased they increased a lot more than Mega Millions have been. Even if no one wins this jackpot tonight and Tuesday's jackpot is $110,000,000 (they might increase it to attract attention) Next Friday's won't be more than $20,000,000 more than Tuesday's jackpot. You can quote me on that. I say that next Friday's jackpot will be $130,000,000. Not much more than that.

If you won a large amount of money...
yeah but not that kind of cash. if i won $5mil after taxes and all that sh1t i would maybe spend $100 a week maybe $200 on the big jackpots. but if i had 5 mil id be chillin somewhere on a nice warm sunny beach not worrying about winning the lotto.

PA Super 6 really is dead
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the jackpots for the DE Lotto only between $100,000 to $600,000? PA Cash 5 (5/39) continually does better than that. I guess with PA being bigger the pot would be larger, but I would imagine 1 to 3 people hitting it on a regular basis.

idea
lets combine the powerball and mega millions sign up our 50 states, make the odds 1:250,000,000 with second tier prize of $350,000, include a powerplay option, and lets see jackpots rise to $1 Billion or $333,000,000 after cash option and taxes or you can take $1 Billion in 25 installments of $40 MILLION before taxes
