Odds of missing the 5th number on a 5/43 Cash 5 game is around 189 out of 190. Odds of missing the Powerball is 25 out 26. So while both seem close, missing the Powerball will be much closer, and that respect, more upsetting to most who only match 5. True, it is possible that there will be more then one winner. It is also possible that there will be no winner in tonight's draw and we will see the PB Jackpot rollover to over $1Billion! Anything is possible. My question still remains: With the jackpot at record breaking level, is it possible for a sole winner (if there is one), to remain anonymous? I don't think so.

The whole thing sounds a little Hooey. They buy a ticket via a phone app supposedly before the cut off. They were informed by the app that the purchase didn't go through due to Non Sufficient Funds. They claim to make a deposit into their acct the app says their purchase went through. I don't know about banks over there, but ours are not open at 7:30 PM, if you make a deposit, it will show as pending until the following day after the bank verifies the funds. We do not have enough info on the app
