Lottery Softwares vs. Guessing

Ohio Super Lotto 12/11/2004
Cash-Only,I think the survey about a Michigan-Ohio game was just trail balloon that went no where. The lottery commission should have learned sometime ago that many of the people participating in those surveys don't play the lotteries. For example a few years ago, they set a limit on the amount one winning ticket would pay regardless of the jackpot size because a survey told them that more lottery players would prefer to collect less and leave a little extra for the next winners. The Lottery Book
BobPYou make a good point, a winning strategy that ends up with the second prize wins the same amount regardless of the jackpot size so it makes little sense to just use it when the jackpot is huge. If it is affordable, you should use it when ever you play. With an even numbers strategy, you would have had a chance to do well in these powerball drawings.02/18/04 04 24 36 44 50 02 *11/15/03 08 20 22 32 52 3906/14/03 12 26 40 42 50 0305/31/03 10 26 30 46 52 3504/19/03 10 18 40 46

PB Drawing for Wednesday 12-08-04
These are the numbers I played last Saturday for two draws. If no one wins tonight, I'll make another trip to Indiana to cash them and buy tickets for this Saturday's drawing.FILE : PO120404 16 29 32 42 50 +18 03 06 14 18 31 +19 19 22 24 39 51 +17 11 26 34 37 44 +24 02 04 25 30 47 +09 20 38 40 45 46 +17 05 43 48 52 53 +26 15 17 35 36 49 +24 01 13 21 28 41 +09 10 18 27 33 49 +01 08 16 33 48 51

MM for tues. 12-7-04
four4me,I didn't use a wheel but a profile program that I'm working on. I noticed that 50% of drawings has a profile of 1# from previous 2 drawings, 2# from previous 5 drawings on up to 5# from the previous 16 drawings and all five had hit a total of 7 to 10 times. I put that information into a RNG and let it pick lines that fit that profile up to 10 lines. It usually get all the numbers in ten lines, but seldom on the same line in 10 lines. A few weeks ago I let it go to 50 lines, took the nu

MegaMillions 12-07-04
With PowerBall jackpot at $171M, interest in a $10M jackpot or $175K second prize is down. I couldn't work on my system to pick some PB numbers this week-end in case of a PB rollover without picking some lines to play in MM tonight. These are my picks. Maybe one day when I have 48hrs or so, I will try and see if it can match the WR 649 wheel which gurantees a match 3 in 161 lines. To save you from the time needed for that, it does not match W

Hidden opportunities within abbr. wheels
I'm not talking about strategies here RJOh.I'm talking about improving wheels. This is totally different that what you are saying. Don't confuse the optimization of wheels with strategies.A strategy is to use a wheel to play. However, it is preferable to use an optimized wheel (if you choose to use wheels) rather than an arbitrary similar wheel with the same attributes, as I try to illustrate in this thread. I just presented an example of a pick 3 optimized wheel here, that's all. People who use

Hidden opportunities within abbr. wheels
Quote: Originally posted by apagogeas on December 5, 2004Everyone knows what is an abbreviated wheel (either close or open cover). If we want a guarantee e.g. 2if3 in 10 balls (for a hypothetical jackpot 3 balls game), then we pick a wheel that offers 100% 2if3 with the desired number of balls to wheel. The above example needs 8 tickets for that.If a 3 of 10 lottery existed, the odds of winning would be:Match odds3/3 1:1202/3 1:61/3 1:2overall 1:1.4How would it ever gen
