I don't think most people would shell out a couple extra dollars for the right to be anonymous; most people won't pay the extra buck for the chance to multiply a lower tier prize. (about 25% of all winners, according to random checks I've done of winners on the Texas Lottery website) I personally wouldn't pay more than a quarter for that option. I still believe in transparency in all things to do with the govt. and that includes the lottery, but I do think there are ways to insure that and

Thanks Coin Toss. Since the anonymity train is picking up speed, it is time to track the states and draw attention to those who are behind the times. I love that sign. I will ask the VA lottery for a similar one if I win. My fave anonymous pic was with the record $1.5 billIon jackpot in MD ( 100% anonymous state) and the 3 school employees were photographed from the waist down wearing gloves and holding the huge check. Lol
