Anti Computerized Lottery Petition
I live in California, an RNG state. I moved there in 2017 and have not played the California Lottery once. If they ever switch to using a mechanical ball machine, then I will start playing.
Whenever I visit my family in Virginia, I usually play the lottery at least once because that lottery still uses balls.

Anti Computerized Lottery Petition
part of the problem with computerized drawings is that state lotteries use third party vendors to make overly elaborate computer programs that the lottery employees themselves cannot easily audit because they're run on some proprietary systems.
an eighth grader could write a simple python or javascript program to generate lottery numbers. this is not difficult stuff. and it would be cheaper to do this in-house. but probably some lottery officials get kickbacks for outsourcing every single l

The rules they have are CYA. It's very common and doesn't mean they're trying to cheat you.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Any one dollar bet that can win one million dollars is a good bet. I'm not maligning anyone. You have an odd understanding of good bets and what you see as 'bad' bets. Lottery bets in essence are bad bets but just may let some lucky player make a major life changing score. Just for grins when New Hampshire started the first state lottery how much was a ticket and what was the first jackpot? Your first sentence above says it was not a good bet so how many bad bets have been made since that first

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Florida Raffle 2026: What are the odds?
The return of the Florida Lottery Raffle certainly caught my eye. I have thought about the raffle in years past, but did not realize it had been 20 years since the last one. It looks like they have re-vamped the format (multiple drawings instead of one drawing, multiple million-dollar prizes, all tickets purchased valid for all drawings.) But I am curious as to how they have calculated the odds.
Now, I have played the Florida Lottery Jackpot Trip

Colorado bill would ban credit card lottery ticket purchases and online sales
They can have someone else buy lottery tickets for them if they're that interested. If not, well, what's the harm in not playing the lottery? Not losing money is not such a bad thing.
Most people who buy lottery tickets online are not severely disabled. They're lazy.

New Money and Old Money
Something exists that I can't recall ever reading about here at The Lottery Post, so I thought I'd start this thread so members can comment on it.
Old Money (wealthy people with a long history of their family having big money like The Kennedy's or Rockefellers) ) does not like New Money. (Anybody that has new found wealth)
For instance Donald Trump is considered New Money by Old Money. There was a time when Old Money would not ever think of him as a friend. At least they never used to li

DELAWARE LOTTERY...HAS IT BEEN HACKED. THEY ARE UNABLE TO POST WINNING NUMBERS
For several days now the Delaware Lottery has not been able to post the winning numbers on the website for hours. The numbers are not available on the phone line either. The PB and Lotto America results and the Mega results also are not up to date. They are running a continuous message across the screen about the problem, but are not giving any reasons for the problem. The results after each drawing are available at the retailers and no problem with ticket sales, so that must be a separate syste

Lottery is not random it's predetermined
The fact is the state's lottery had nothing to do with that scandal. It was done by Nick Perry, the station's lottery announcer, along with a stagehand. Also the station's art director created the weighted balls for the draws.
For some reason this saga is commonly brought up when someone accuses a state lottery of rigging.
