Powerball- Why it isn't always good.Reply
Ohio has had PowerBall jackpot winners and the game isn't played in the state. It also has its share of MegaMillions jackpot winners and that game is played in the state. Ohio added the MegaMillions game to stop the constant money-drain to states that had PowerBall and the BigGame. That still happens occasionally when ever the PB jackpots gets close to $200M as it is this week. I made some changes in my program for picking my numbers. I tried it out to see what it would pick for tonight's drawing. If no one wins the PowerBall tonight, I'll use it to pick some numbers for Saturday's drawing. Rjoh:accuracy is measured be doing many trial runs of the software on past data.The better it performs in the past, the more likely it's going to perform equally well in the future. yep thanks RJOh, i realised after i posted that i gave the wrong impression hence the edit.In my program, i predict what i think will be six winning numbers then check the draw results to see how many numbers i got right. Some draws i get none and some i get as many as 5 (so far !). By counting how many i get right then using how many i SHOULD have got right (oh i wish !) i calculate that i am right 12.67% of the time. Actually 12.62% now cos i didn't get any in the last draw !What i'd like to k
