MUSL "Hot Lotto" $1.7 million ($930,000 cash) Saturday 5/4
California lottery is 1:41million as well. No one's complaining about that. In fact, it's one of the best state lotteries out there.. very high jackpots and fast growth (no doubt because of the large population in CA).

Lottery Pool (Club) Agreements
I just looking for something that cover a pool among friends and co-workers. I can't see a bunch of players pooling their moneies to play pick3 or pick4 games, I'm thinking about games that have a jackpots of $20 millions or more. Jack

Lottery Pool (Club) Agreements
Would you prefer a lottoclub that goes all the way to thejackpot or an interactive-club-network where the membersteam up for select jackpots or even better,a club of strategy, where the members meet and target the exact payoffin the Play3 and Play4 lotteries? You would do better to work that out yourself and that wayyou can call the shots and set the terms of agreement.lottoscorp

MUSL "Hot Lotto" $1.4 million Wednesday 4/24
There are smaller jackpot games at least worth considering. As I said, Hot Lotto is a NEW game that of course was overshadowed by the Big Game. There's a good chance that the seven-member game will add at least one state to make the jackpots increase faster.

Winning The Lottery Games!!!
That situation has happen in Ohio several time. There is a limit that any one combination can be played. When that happens, the state issues a notice that it will no longer accept bets on that combination. It has only happen in their pick3 game. In their Pick5 which has a jackpot of $100,000 the most the state will payout in jackpots is $1M regardless of the number of winners and they state that on the playing cards. States aren't into lotteries to lose money.RJOh

Re: Question about Mega Millions
It'd be cool, but I doubt it'll ever happen. Doing so would spread themselves thin and would not achieve their goal of extremely large jackpots (which only works well if lots of people play).

Lump Sum
The jackpots of multi-state lotteries are pooled, so what you can do in one state should be able to be done in another state when it comes to Mega Millions' jackpot payout choice.Lesser prizes are the responsibility of the individual states, however.

Re: Mega Millions VS Big Game
I think you're correct, Patrick. Despite the fact that lotteries are not very forthcoming with financial data, they are in fact accountable to the public. Also, any lower administration costs will most likely be offset by higher marketing costs in order to support to higher volume of ticket sales necessary to support such large jackpots.-Todd
