NC lottery winner spent $9M bailing out convict fiancé
From the Tax Foundation.org March '12 article in reference to the MM JP being a record 540 million : Lottery Tax Rates Vary Greatly By State
While lottery winnings of $600 or less are not reported to the IRS, winnings in excess of $5,000 are subject to a 25 percent federal withholding tax. In other words, if one person wins the jackpot and chooses the $389 million lump sum payment, $97 million will go straight to the IRS. Next April, the jackpot winner or winners can see if any of that amo

California Lottery begins offering tickets at gas pumps
Just another way for states to get more of our hard earned cash on a daily basis. They are not interested in making themselves accountable for responsible gaming, otherwise, they would not try to shove it in our face so much.
This equates to impulse buying, but now at the gas pump. North Carolina is trying this as well and after posting another record quarter, why wouldn't they? People talk about corporate greed, but state greed is starting to surpass corporate greed on an almost daily basis

Post your scratch ticket results
Im in Boston. Have not played in over a month today I stopped by a corner store to try the new $30 Supreme Millions. Went thru 7 before I won $50.... next tried the $30 WCM. Bought 5 tickets all lost.... then got 5 of the $20 $4M Payout. Again, all lost. Sucks that Mass is becoming like all other states just endless streaks of losing tickets.....
Btw, anyone been reading about record breaking lottery sales and profits across the board ? Florida, Georgia, Texas, Mass..... It is disturbing how

Former lottery security employee guilty of rigging $14.3M drawing
Maybe if he had a ringtone that said Phone call for MUSL employee Eddie Tipton , but other than that it would just be one more piece of evidence that doesn't really prove anything. OTOH, the prosecution claimed that his cell phone records showed that he wasn't in Texas, as he claimed. If he'd gotten a phone call anytime close to when the purchase was made they'd presumably have a record showing a connection to a cell tower close to the store. Of course even that still leaves room for reasonable

Targeting Ohio Drawings for Blackapple lottery system
I do not know who I need to ask about this. I am very interested in BA system whereby he keeps track of Vtrac numbers on daily basis tracking for certain conditions which he supplies the sums to play depending on the specific criteria. I would like to keep a record of that and post for OHIO so it would be available to who would want it. I did not want to step on any toes if this info is already available and I am just not aware of it. I am fairly new but love working with figures and I am retire

Powerball changing in October to generate bigger jackpots
Very well stated.
I suppose the biggest issue I have with this is it's been tried already and it hasn't worked but yet they are duplicating MM anyway. I didn't agree with the price hike, but at least that had the payoff of a higher starting point and higher rollover amounts.
But this new system has no advantage for players because we've already seen what happened with MM who all but promised players that their new crappier odds would result in fewer but consistently higher jackpots. They

North Carolina: 7/1 - 7/31/2015
I like 510 because it is a hwy near me 15/501 up in Raleigh right around Chapel Hill but, as of today, I am going to try and play numbers that come out the MOST in the month that I am playing in...I really don't like the 720 and will change that because it had only came out 1 time since the lottery has began . Like the 501 as it has never came out since the lottery began in the month of July. But NCEL is crazy as you know and could bring it... It takes me hours to search out the numbers that com

Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
After the changes are enacted, the odds of winning the jackpot which was a record $590.5 million in 2013 will increase to 1 in 292,201,338, up from 1 in 175,223,510. The odds of winning $4? That will improve from 1 in 111 to 1 in 92. The new rules will take effect with tickets purchased starting Oct. 4 for the Oct. 7 drawing.
Pathetic...
I will buy a ticket when the jackpot reaches astronomical levels only. Living in Calif, the 5/6 prize is usually well below $1 million and the chance
