Winners or pretty darn close to it
I'm wondering if anyone here has ever come close to or actually ever hit any of the big jackpots(the 5 and 6 number draws). I know one guy here said he hit a couple years ago and is collecting an annuity on it and also RJOh got 5 out of 6 recently in the Ohio Super lotto game.

It probably won't make much of a difference but ya never kno
Cash,Well I'm only in my late 20s, although I have been called an old soul ...If I have reason to meet with the lottery folks (read: if I win) I would ask for a few moments to discuss lump sum vs. annuity. I'm sure they've probably already heard about it and as I said in my email to them MA Millions and Megabucks are too similar IMO. One of them (probably MM) needs to change..

Someday22: I'd love to hear of a 90-year-old hitting MA Megabucks (or Mass Millions) to show how ludicrous it is for MA to still require annuity payments in the two games.

Why is Steve Player the only one with the COURAGE to post hi
The first US lotto game where players could choose cash or annuity was Oregon Megabucks in 1990. The NY Lotto cash option wasn't until 1996.

Why is Steve Player the only one with the COURAGE to post hi
This is just my opinion but I believe Steve Player supports his game playing and has the time to develop his systems from winning the NY lottery back in 1988.The money he gets from selling his systems he probably puts in the bank and pays his employees and takes care of other OPCOM business related functions. And as for the money to play the lottery games it's probably from his lottery winnings and not from the money he gets from selling his stuff.Whether he took a lump sum or annuity for 20 yrs

Big game winning tickets
Tickets for a multi-state game (Mega Millions, Powerball, Hot Lotto etc) MUST be redeemed in the state where the ticket was purchased. SPECIAL NOTE for New York: The cash/annuity choice must STILL be made when you play-a ticket marked 26 ANNUAL PAYMENTS means the ticket holder _cannot_ receive the jackpot prize in lump sum.

To FYI:
FJA: The lawsuit I was referring to was NOT against the city of Euclid. It was about the Ohio Lottery paying lump-sum winners in Ohio 6/49 less than the the amount of cash that would have been used to purchase the annuity, had the winner chosen the annual payments.

To FYI:
I don't remember the details; it had to have been at least three years ago. I know the suit was NOT because the winner expected to receive X million in cash because the (annuity) advertised amount was X million, or because of state and federal withholding from the check.

BIGGAME MAGAMILLIONS PICKS FOR 05/28/02
I used play the Big Game when the jackpot hit the $10 Mil.With the backward evoulution, and dying of the Big Game. I response with joining the MM at $25 Mil jackpot level to justify the 70% longer odd!I choose a 125% jackpot increase for 70% longer odd for the 2.25X $10 Mil need to be discounted for 26 year annuity. So, if you are responing with 70%/100% jackpot increase, you are lossing your welfare!

Powerball comes to PA June 27
First Powerball drawing after the Keystone State joins is Saturday, June 29. SPECIAL NOTE: Unlike Super-6 Lotto, players will be able to select ALL their numbers if they wish; and, players will be able to select CASH within 60 days of winning (Powerball tickets from PA will say annuity but the cash option WILL be available. Of course, neighboring New York _will not_ allow a 26 ANNUAL PAYMENTS ticket to be changed to lump sum.)
