Massive windfall is a blessing for Wisconsin winners

A happily married couple stepped forward to claim their share of the $632.6 million Powerball jackpot that was split by two winning tickets in California and Wisconsin last month.
Tammy and Cliff Webster, of Oneida, are part-winners of the seventh-largest jackpot in the Powerball game and the eleventh-largest lottery prize in U.S. history.

China lottery corruption probe sparks online outrage
China's government is attempting to downplay social media rumors that lottery administrators have embezzled nearly $20 billion from lottery proceeds.
On Tuesday, the South China Morning Post reported on the frantic efforts by Beijing authorities to refute social media chatter that around RMB136b (US$19.5b) had been embezzled by corrupt lottery administrators. Spain's El Gordo lottery sparks celebrations across Madrid
Workers at a home for the elderly were among those celebrating Thursday in Madrid, Spain, after all the tickets with the top prize-winning number in Spain's 2.3 billion (US$2.4 billion) Christmas lottery were sold in one city neighborhood.

Illinois Lottery adds new feature to numbers games
'Fireball' feature now on sale

On Sept. 1, Illinois Lottery retailers will begin offering a new, optional feature called Fireball to its long-standing Pick 3 and Pick 4 daily draw games.
The new play option provides a chance to obtain more winning combinations.
The standard Pick 3 and Pick 4 games remain the same, as does the drawing schedule (seven days a week, twice a day) and game ticket price (starts at 50 cents).
