I haven't touched Mega Millions since the price hike in April. I used to be a consistent 1 ticket per drawing player prior to that. It's sort of become irrelevant from my perspective. It started as $1 and a dream. Then it became $2 and a distant hope. Now it's $5 and a hard pass. Good luck to everyone with the upcoming drawings. Seems like a few of these jackpots have been rolling over for a while. Would be nice if someone finally won them.

Even though Powerball is clearly winning this race, the Powerball jackpot is growing at much lower rates than its record runs. Lottery sales for the big national games are down. This is probably the main reason the Mega Millions game was recently changed. Many of the Powerball records were set when the draws were held twice a week.
