We have our pool tickets for the next Mega Millions draw. This time we got one ticket with a 5 times multiplier and one ticket with a 10 times multiplier. It is great getting the bigger multipliers but we need them to hit. We had a lot of larger multipliers in the previous draw but none of them hit. We have our pool tickets for the Tuesday draw. The best we did was a 3 times multiplier. This is two draws is a row where the highest multiplier was a 3. The Powerball jackpot is also large enough for our pool to play. So when the Mega Millions jackpot is won, we can switch to playing Powerball. We have played the Mega Millions game 15 draws in a row. If the Mega Millions jackpot rolls four more times, it will break the 36 roll record for Mega Millions. The odds the jackpot is won in the next draw is about 3.3%. Lets say the odds for each of the next fours draws averages out to 3.5%, then the odds the jackpot rolls at least 4 more times is about 87%. The Powerball record is 41 rolls.

The last time I played was the Friday before it went to $5. I know someone that spent maybe $15 and won $90. Anyone else. I wish it would have only gone to $3.

Getting back to the topic on hand. The Mega Millions jackpot is $110 million and increased by the minimum of $10 million six draws in a row. It is estimated the current jackpot is under funded from sales by about $4.4 million. It is probably safe to say this is the last time the jackpot increases by only $10 in this run. I actually like the fact that Mega Millions and Powerball are very different now. Mega Millions is now more of a high-stakes game. Also, I like the random multiplier assigned, because it's kind of fun the see which number was assigned, and hope the line with the higher number hits. I know some people just hate on the new price, but I enjoy the new game overall. I just play far fewer tickets.
