The best way to play big jackpots like the record $40 million is to get as many people in a lottery pool to maximize the chances while not spending too much money yourself. Is any Canadian here interested in merging our lottery pools, or helping organize a big online pool?For example, while it would be silly to spend $168 on tickets yourself, a pool can buy one or more of the $168 9-number combinations/wheels.

Powerplay is separate from the bonus pool. It would be 200k + whatever is the multiplier minus the 200k + whatever percent of the bonus pool you get IF there is a jackpot winner for that game. Since the 5 multiplier has come up so much recently as the bonus pool gets bigger it would be a disincentive to get a powerplay since you will already get what's in the bonus pool. Kind of an ass-backward way of marketing. I hope individual states aren't covering the 200k or someone will get a rude surpris

As far as pools go any pool over 10 people is inviting more problems than it's worth. Some members might want cash other's annuity. Unless the pot is over 200 million who's going to be happy with the split of say an 80 mill pot after taxes for 100 members.Any pool between different states might involve some form of contractual agreement. And aren't some states not allowed these pool arrangements?And even buying 5000 tickets won't guarantee a jackpot win or even enough to pay off the initial inve
