$450 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot nears record
A SECURITY FIRM? Come on, now..... First, if you live in a state where you can remain anonymous...you can remain anonymous. Otherwise, agree you have to be extremely careful, but how many major JP winners over the years, even with their names made public, have had genuine security issues, at least ones that made headlines? Not many. After a period of time, the winning names get forgotten or at least put on the shelf until the next huge JP winner comes along.

$450 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot nears record
Whether you live in a state that allows you to remain anonymous or not, these are some suggestions I'd offer to everyone: Pray and seek God's guidance. Keep the news of your good fortune to a tight knit small number of people Have ideas/a plan of your own, until your professional team is assembled Get a copy of the book, Strangers in Paradise, by James Grubman, Ph.d, awesome book that gives sound advice to those who have never lived in Paradise - IN WEALTH. Anyone winning this amount pretty

The Lottery Changed My Life...
Bank of America wouldnt be entitled to anything other than what was loaned and besides they are the worst. Buying a home with association fees would be the last thing I would do. Having someone tell me what I can and cannot do would not go over well. As for security, with the kind of money he won, he could have private security with his own gated entry. Money and a drug problem = lethal combo.

'Advance pay' after winning the jackpot?
Unfortunately I am not one of those people who has a 'when I win the jackpot nest egg' stashed away that would cover things like a new or additional phone, a P.O.Box rental for at least a year, and a 1-3 month stay in a very private, security conscious hotel at least 2 cities away from my current address. Those are all things I would need to spend money on as a lottery winner that I wouldn't have to if I had the losing ticket. Couple that with no income coming in because I would have quit or

Super Computers + Terminals = Rigged
Vette- Upon further review, l notice that you were specifically speaking about computerized games, l digressed there big fella, but you do present an amusing scenario. l found this piece rather interesting.. Systems incorporating remote terminals with a central or host computer through a telephonic link are susceptible to various forms of security breach. For example terminals may be subject to improper on-site tampering, as by persons approved for limited access to the units. Also, stolen

does state lottery officials know where the jackpot instant tickets go what town ect,
I read an article in which they interviewed a former lottery security director from a large state (didn't disclose which state). He basically said the same thing, that there's a double blind system in place. Nothing is impossible, but he also said that about 6 different people from the lottery, gaming company, and auditing company needs to be in on the conspiracy to pull it off, but they would be found out quickly through their auditing process of winners. This was in response to the scandal

Megamillions and Powerball Games
THRIFTY If out taxes were spent wisely then we would not be in the place we are now. Years ago they paid things like social security then spent the rest. Today they borrow the money to pay social security and then borrow more for the other things.

Indiana woman claims Blue Chip Casino owes her $28M
Stack47, Over payments are known as 'leakage' and it's just an accepted part of doing business, but when the leakage gets enough to be noticed everybody gets heat. Players who complain they got shorted when they didn't are known as 'claim jumpers'. Another part of that is claim jumpers look for toursits who appear to not know the game and claim those players' winning bets. Once a person establishes themselves as a known claim jumper the casino will purposely not pay them and call security

Pick 4 Cash Cow System
After doing some research on my own, I've discovered that the Pick 4 Cash Cow system is protected from Printability by software called Book Guard Pro, which is PDF security that changes a PDF E-book into a non-printable .exe-file E-book, which can only be viewed on a Windows computer. If you use a MAC computer, you're out of luck. Save your money $$$. MAC users would have to use some type of conversion software, like Parallels, Crossover or Filejuicer, to read a .exe-file E-book. E-book Pro i

Post your scratch ticket results
From the Florida Lottery website: The Internal Revenue Service requires that the Florida Lottery withhold 25 percent federal withholding tax from prizes greater than $5,000 if the winner is a citizen or resident alien of the U.S. with a Social Security number. The Florida Lottery is not required to withhold federal withholding taxes from prizes for $5,000 or less. If the prizewinner is a U.S. citizen or resident alien who does not have a Social Security number, the Florida Lottery is requi
