Hello everyone
Well i basically think of it like this, being that i'm 33 i would choose the annuity because i still have a good portion of my life ahead of me, While say someone who is up there in age lets just say in there 50's on up might want to take the lump sum because you never know if you can kick out another 26 years. Thats just my way of looking at it, there could be something more to it which i really dont know. Welcome and good luck!

Todd--Big Game question
The estate receives all remaining annuity payments as if it were being paid to the winner. I do not believe there is any minimum or maximum.-Todd

Big Game Jackpot Analysis
I've added a new feature at biggamelottery.com that shows you what you would win if you hit The Big Game jackpot for both Annuity and Cash options, listed by state. I've also included New York and Ohio, both of which will be participating in The Big Game starting this Spring. To check it out, go to www.biggamelottery.com (click link below) and select Jackpot Analysis.-Todd

Predictions for 09-10-2001
Scott: Although instant games with prizes such as $x,xxx per week/month/etc have proven popular, I do not play such games because winners receive their winnings through an annuity. It's understandable that such prizes don't have a cash option, since a cash option on such prizes would depend on the winner's life expectancy. Unfortunately, there are online games in Washington state and Oregon which feature a $1000-per-week top prize, in games with a similar format to NJ Lotzee, and the former

keno
Dear Paul: I live in NY, so here we have much the same thing (Quick Draw). If I can give you lottery advice for Massachusetts, it would be for you to AVOID Megabucks and Mass Millions because, for whatever reason, the MA lottery still requires winners of either jackpot to receive annuity payments (unlike the Big Game .)

Mass cash 5/35
Paul, you sound a little vague, but I'll try. Mass. has four lotto games, and Mass Cash 5/35 probably is the best bet (depending on the Big Game jackpot.) For whatever reason, Mass. continues to require winners of its Megabucks or Mass Milions to receive annuity payments, even though Big Game winners are allowed to collect in lump sum. (Interestingly, the Connecticut 5/35 game, if you disregard its Kicker option, is exactly the same except for second prize-and is played EVERY NIGHT instead of

annuity payouts?
Thanks for clearing it up for me. So, you're saying that the jackpot is divided up evenly 26 times(for the amount of years the annuity matures). Thanks again........

payments?
Dear Sparky: Take the cash (lump sum)-there are annuity jackpots which are paid over _30_ installments, and some annuities give you less money in the first payment than in the second. If you're in Massachusetts, DO NOT play Megabucks or Mass Millions as the Mass. Lottery still refuses to give players a cash option (though Big Game winners in all seven states can choose lump sum.) The Wash. state and Oregon lotteries each have a lotto game that are almost entirely quick-pick AND are lifetime
