The Low Down on the Mega Millions Numbers (Pick 5 Part)
In spite of eliminating the lower six numbers from my pool and rejecting all combinations with the highest number less than 20, I couldn't manage to match more than 2 on the 25 lines I played and the 25 mega balls I played didn't have #24 either so I contributed $25 to last night's pot.
This Friday I may play all 46 mega balls and limit my contribution to $44.

$500 MILLION: Mega Millions sets all-time lottery jackpot record
I am going to play even less this time, $2.
I have yet to hear of someone winning the jackpot by playing more than $20 and most seem to be off of some easy pick so that will be it for me. I am surprised that some lottery pool has not won it yet to be honest.

Maddogs Mega Millions Challenge 3/27
Sorry, don't mean to single anyone out here, just having a lot of trouble posting tonight. Looks like there were many here who picked the Megaball 24. Considering there are 46 to choose from, it's no easy task, ye know.
We had a MM pool going at work today for this jackpot. Totally bombed.

Odd thing I heard from convenience clerk
I thought every LP member had read about Jack Whittaker, the largest ever single PB jackpot winner who's trouble started when he bought $100 worth of PB tickets.(PB was $1 per ticket then and no PP)
There was also the swimming pool installer in Michigan who shared the largest MM jackpot up to that time with another winner in Illinois that said he brought a hotdog at a gas station and decided to buy MM lottery tickets with the change from a $100 bill he used to pay for his hotdog.

$356 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot nears record
The hardest part would be around co-workers, acting like everything was 'normal', showing up and doing your job like usual until all bases are covered. Might have to take acting lessons.
Unless the 'group pool' at the office hits, then pass around the shot glasses and Maker's Mark.

Mega Millions winner forced to split jackpot with co-workers
Dude I run a lottery pool with an even 100 people in it. I've been doing it for 10 years now (when it only had 20 people in it). We won $10,000 on 12/28. First thing I did was text about 30 players I had cell phone numbers for. This guy Lopez is a world-class D O U C H E B A G. I can't even IMAGINE doing what he did. Not all of us who run pools are Bernie Madoff and most of us would rather share our good fortune than winning the entire thing by ourselves.

Would you quit your JOB if you won the lottery!
Oops - I might've screwed up. I thought the question was, Would you quit your job? I marked the top one, In a heartbeat.
I've been overworked for years and have many hobbies/ interests I'd like to pursue so yes, I would quit. And I'm sure everyone else in our lotto pool at work would do the same!

I've never been in a lottery pool.
Stories like these make sure I never will.
