Ark. lottery panel puts new limits on chief's pay
The Arkansas Lottery Commission, in an attempt to deflect criticism it received in the past for former top officials' six-figure salaries, set new salary limits Monday for its next director.
The commission voted to set the maximum salary for the next director at $175,000. The nine-member commission plans to begin interview candidates this weekend for the opening left by former director Ernie Passailaigue, who resigned in September after criticism over his management of the games.
Passailai

Four years after drawing fiasco, Tenn. Lottery settles with tech firms
As I've said a few times before, Tennessee is the backwater swamp of all state lotteries and that is what it will remain until we drain the swamp in Nashville. And I don't know if that's possible. The current crop of RINO's in our state legislature are no more responsive than were the Democrats to public opinion on the Lottery. They rely on the apple polishers and fawning sycophants in the Lottery Dept. hierarchy to discern what the players want. And neither speak for us.
None of them really

Arkansas Supreme Court hears arguments in lottery trademark suit
An attorney for a Little Rock marketing firm argued Thursday before the Arkansas Supreme Court that his client should be allowed to proceed with a trademark lawsuit against the Arkansas Lottery Commission.
The high court heard oral arguments but did not immediately issue a ruling in a lawsuit filed by Alpha Marketing against the Lottery Commission. The company has been seeking a ruling that it has exclusive rights to use of the terms Arkansas lottery, Arkansas Lotto, and Lottery Arkansas, som

Arkansas Lottery to begin director search
The Arkansas Lottery Commission voted Monday to begin its search for a new director in December, but the panel left unanswered how quickly it hoped to fill the vacancy left by former director Ernie Passailaigue.
The commission voted to begin advertising for the director job on Dec. 1 and to begin reviewing applications at its Jan. 9 meeting. The panel set a priority deadline of Jan. 4, but it said it would continue to accept applications after that date.
The commission hired Passailaigue,

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
Jimboo-boo!!!!!!!
As a member in good standing of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Internet Dead Horses I am compelled to ask, What useful purpose would it serve, other than having someone else do your homework, to have a Bottom Ten list?
Are you exercising some sadist tendency to embarrass someone or cause them hurt feeling for your own gratification? Or do you need fodder to further your agenda? (Well, scratch that. Obviously you do. I mean, there are people still paying lot

N.C. Lottery learning about video gaming operations
The North Carolina Education Lottery formally sought information Monday on how it could operate casino-style video gambling machines should the GOP-led Legislature and Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue decide to regulate rather than keep outlawing them.
New lottery Executive Director Alice Garland said her agency put out a request for details from companies that have the ability to run a centrally operated video lottery terminal system that would operate multiple games. The request, which sets a

Disgruntled Lottery Employees Tell Everything!
If you are a disgruntled current or former employee of a lottery corporation, and feel you have been mistreated, why not get even? The same goes for those involved in the design, printing, administration or advertising and promotion of instant tickets. Also those involved in the warehousing and distribution should tell what they know. Perhaps you are a former lottery retailer who unfairly lost your license. Ticket Sales Agents feel free to participate as well. If there is anything you can tell u

$290 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery rocket-ride
I have absolutely no idea why I haven't won the jackpot yet. After all, I did spend $33 last year on Powerball, Mega Millions and Win For Life, altogether. I probably spent 5 to 10 times as much an Cash 3 and Fantasy 5 mainly due to their superior odds. I realize that while winning either of those will not necessarily change my lifestyle forever, and that I would still most likely need to work. Maybe I will be a sucker like thousands of others and buy 20 tickets or so. I spend the most on instan

Lottery bill could limit winner's take
RR,
I am and was quite sober, but nice shot at my credibility.
You fail to see this Welfare reform was introduced by REPUBLICANS who s last stand in the Whitehouse gave us SPEND and then TAX economics including private sector WAR economics. The big three were in DC before the election results and had appointment the day after the election (with their hats in their hands) for a bailout. The first of many under W s last days. The REPUBLICANS nationalized corporate America. Who pays the bill

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
Don't go out of your way to prove you are a fool, but since you went there,.....
Good one, but even an unlearned understudy would know to look at it ( the verse) in context.
The first thing would be to whom it is addressed, the next would be to what Biblical administration is it addressed. The context of brother is the key. I am not a Jew, are you?
Brother here in that verse is an Israelite by nation and blood.; while a neighbor was an Israelite by religion and worship (=a Proselyt
