TN Lottery board meets today, to hear Georgia proposal
I'm sure they'll come up with some better branding as things get closer. Just wait 'til the ad agency starts to consume their big contract!

Beating The Lottery
That is so true. I remember about the waitress story. that was in the news. She never did get that guy a pick-up either. She kept the whole thing for herself. That is why when I play with anyone else, I USE A CONTRACT! It is always better to work that way because if you are playing even among friends, the human condition of greed can get in the way.

Gambler's Fallacy
Oh Boy,now how would it look, me apprehending a desprite International criminal with doo-doo on my uniform? I don't know now, I might have to re-think this contract again. My lawyers will be in touch. Hey now, that really sounds profesional. I'm almost proud of myself. Opps, I wasn't supposed to tell you that. That's what happens when you can't get past the 3rd grade.

Pick 3 players wanted!!
Hello Bird, I understand your concern, but let me explain in a way that you may understand. If you have a telephone in your home you should understand this simple idea. The telephoone company does not let you use their technology for free. if you want to reach out and touch someone, you have to enter into a contract. I am only asking the same.If you think what I am offering is crazy.... the great thing about America is you do not have to listen.

Hello there Guest,My two cents worth is this...if there are only two of you then a notorized copy of intent is satisfactory, containing what you will do; how you will do it; and who gets what amount, etc. Any more than two people then I would suggest an iron clad, big bucks contract with the same information. With three or more people and a big win, things and friendship tend to get a little sticky. Teufellj

I once belonged to a small pool at work here in TX (4--same--people only) and we had a 5 of 6 win (when it was only 50 lottery numbers). It was about a $2700 prize. By the way we missed the 6th numbe, and a $65,000,000 for one digit. We would only play when the jackpot was over the minimum, $3,000 at that time. It was unanimously decided that I would pick the numbers, fill the cards, purchase the tickets, hold them, cash and distribute the winnings, even if it was a small win. Showed that th

Has anyone tried a Lottery Pool?
With the MegaMillion jackpot getting near a $100M, now is the best time you will have to convince your friends and relatives to start a pool. Write down some kind of contract, so everyone in the pool is clear about how the pool works and who is entered. It doesn't have to be a long term pool, it can be until this jackpot is won. Good luck to you.RJOh

The cash/annuity issue is of course more important when people share ticket(s). If TX still requires the choice be make when you play, _always_ choose LUMP SUM/CASH. If the choice is made AFTER you win, 1) either make sure the contract is for choosing LUMP SUM/CASH, or, should the pool want annuity (unlikely) that those preferring CASH are not in the pool (so that those wanting lump sum aren't stuck with annual payments).

A couple of coworkers are thinking of going in on tickets as a team. If one person's tickets win then all benefit. What kind of contract should we draw up? Presently no one has brought that up but I know it has been an issue in TX when some people got greedy. How does one decide who will receive/sign the winning ticket to redeem?

Hello everyone
I'm sure there's a way you could take the lump sum, and write a contract/will or something where your kids would not get any large amounts of money until at least their 18th birthday(s).
