What is hit median
After the 4/28/04 drawing, I did a sampling of the previous 30 drawings and found that most of the powerballs had hit 3-4 times in 162 draw history. There were 13 powerballs that still fitted that profile so I used them in a list of 15 combinations and went to Indiana to play them,so far I've matched a powerball every drawing. I played them for 3 drawings and play them again this past Saturday for another 3 drawings in hopes of being in the game if there was two more rollover. It will be inter

Powerball: $205 Million!
Quote: Originally posted by kbcherokee on May 08, 2004RJOH:I hear Ol' Jack W. is sayin' he's broke now... When he was broke, he still was paying thousands in alimony, so being broke is relative. For me now being broke is having less than a dollar to my name, when I was 10 years old, having a dollar meant that I was

The Worlds Best System!
Prometheus,I have never been attractive to the pick3 and pick4 games because they are daily games. I prefer to think about what I'm going to play before I play. When the big game first started, they only had a drawing once a week and I liked that. I adjusted when they went to twice a week and I lose interest in my state Buckeye5 when it went to a daily game. I prefer to spend $20 twice a week rather than $5-$10 a day. If I had a sure way to win more than I spent playing the daily games, I w

Need help To Make a Search Tool?
Colin F,I discovered some duplicate entries in the Buckeye5 file when I was checking for repeats of combinations of fives and notified them and they corrected them. I got a thank you note from Steve Lake for bringing it to his attention. I did it because the mistakes had to be corrected when ever I updated my files which I also use in some other programs I wrote. The data files are in a format that make them easy to covert to a text format that my other programs use.RJOh*Littleoldlady: You

2nd Try-Game Solver/Zero Sum Games

When an idea goes from wishy-washy to a clear thought, it can be more easily proved true or false. If it is true and can add value to someone's lottery playing, I hope posters will be willing to share it rather than incorporate it into a system or softwares package and licenses its use. Many wishy-washy ideas are p

Buying more tickets = reduced odds
I plan to increase my chances of winning something in the PowerBall drawing this weekend by purchasing several combinations. I know there are 120,526,770 possible combinations and 3,342,046 of them will pay $3 or more and I hope that some of my combinations are among them. I'll be looking at past history and hoping to pick only numbers that are most likely to be drawn to reduce my selections to about 20 lines which in well within my budget. My chances aren't as good as being in a pool of pla

Powerball $170 Million Drawing Tonight
If there is no winner tonight, the tickets sales rate will increase to well over 20,000 per minutes and terminals at businesses on the borders of the PowerBall states will have lines of outerstaters waiting to buy tickets. When I head over to Indiana to buy my tickets,I prefer to drive an extra mile or two pass the first point of sales, it takes an extra five minutes but it saves about thirty minutes of waiting in line. Some places will print QP's in advance for those players in a hurry with c

Buying more tickets = reduced odds
Quote: Originally posted by wiseone2 on May 04, 2004Even if you used one person in this scenario purchasing $60,000,000 in powerball tickets, the break even odds are the same. Some years back, an Australia group tried to play all the possible combinations in a Virgina lottery which took about 11M tickets. They took control of several SevenEleven terminals for 3 days and the most they could play were 8M combinations. They won the lottery but the point is that there wasn't enough time to play

Buckeye5...05/03/04
Tying a new formula to pick 5 numbers for the PowerBall if it hits $200M this week end, thought I would test it on Buckeye5 even though I'm not playing. Range in other posts have been defined as the different between the lowest and the highest numbers in a combination and you defined a wide range as 1-21 and a narrow range as 3-48. The actual range of PB combinations in the last 164 drawings, according to the traditional definition has been 8-52 with less than 5% in the 1-21 range.<FONT color=#00800
