Actually, the cash option is a smart one right now. Not only because of the likelyhood of an Obama tax increase, but because the cash option is paying 68% of the jackpot. The T-Bill rates have dropped so much that the lottery commission has to put more cash up front to fund the annuity. And that is what the cash option pays, right? After playing the lottery games for the past 8 yrs off and on and winning mostly in the cash-3 straight from 2001-2003 using lottery software,i have finally discovered in my opinion the best way at possibly HITTING a PICK-5 jackpot.Currently after much trial and error i am using a method that selects 22 numbers and generates 5 combos for 3/4 number hits and 15 combos for 4/5 number hits.The 22 number selection strategy is an idea i got from one of Steve Players Systems called the PICK-5 CASHFLEX

When Florida joins Powerball in January I myself don't think personally that an increase in the numbers of Powerball from 55 to 59 will make the Challenge that much harder to warrent a change in the numbers of balls allowed in the Challenge. Whoops, I should have reread my post and fixed that. What I think I meant is they're trying to keep the initial jackpot lower while probably hoping the winner is only a $1 winner (while still having a lot of people playing for $2 and $3) so they don't have to pay the bonus (while still keeping the rolls lower) and they get to keep more money which will probably need to be saved for if someone does hit with the $3 Plus option.. What a bad idea. New York and other states, make your games more attractive and you can increase sales. New York could take a lead from her sister state for one, (New Jersey) by not taxing lottery winnings, that makes your games more attractive. Another would be to increase the pay outs on the daily games like Pick-3 and Pick-4. Please explain. Do you mean because the jackpot doesn't increase after it hits $2 million or the odds? Last week when it reached $2 million I was thinking that each time it isn't hit and they don't increase the jackpot, it is such a rip-off. I know it rolls down, but so what? Is this what you mean? I'm skeptical that making the prize tax free would do much to increase sales. Sure, it would make the net prizes bigger, but what percentage of lottery players use that number in deciding whether or not to play, and how much?
