Lotto Architect v2.2
I recently added a feature to my program that allows me to compare a drawing with the previous drawings (any amount) to see if the hit frequency(hot or cold) can be an indicator of which ones to wheel. For example when looking at the previous 20 draws for a 5/37 game(Buckeye5), numbers that have hit 2-3 times repeat most. It also shows that numbers that have hit 2-3 times is usually a list of 18-25 numbers and contain 4 of the winning numbers about 5% of the time. With PowerBall (5/53) the ch

Online Lottery Lotto question
Any lottery that contains each of the three elements of prize chance and consideration is illegal by federal and state law. But, individual states can draft special statutes legalizing or excepting certain promotions according to the laws of that state. That is why some states can have a state run lottery. These lotteries are specifically regulated according to their authorizing statutes. Other possible exceptions that are allowed in many states might include raffles by charitable organizations.

5 Digit/Buckeye 5
Quote: Originally posted by RJOh on April 15, 2004Mr Steel,Your theory is a fact. In the Buckeye5 (5/37) game, there are 435,897 possible combinations and 355,167 of them start with numbers 1-10, that 81% of the possible combinations. Like wise 81% also end with numbers 28-37 (the highest ten numbers). Only 4,368 combinations(11-27) or 1% of those combinations would not have either of those conditions.RJOhMr Steel there were some mistakes in the original post, those corrections are in blue.

Georgia Lotto Pool
Congratulations Lottery Analyst,Sounds like your Internet lottery pool idea got off to a good start. Several other posters have shown interest in starting one, but haven't found a model that they like. I read a response of Todd, the webmaster, that he was looking into the legalities of starting one at LotteryPost. I checked out some of the other such pools and yours is the only one that put all the fees into buying tickets, a guy could spend a lot of his own money running a pool that way, mos

Buckeye 5: 4/10/2004
RJOH:You are correct on how the numbers do fall in this game.I was hoping, really hoping that they were going to change their tune today! That is to say, the numbers that not have been coming up would hit.The 1, 4, 11, etc.Sticking with what is Hot , rather than what is Not is the key to this game.I should not have second guessed them. They did what they have been doingfor weeks now. Picking the Hot ones!Hey! But, at least we gave it a try. Not many Buckeye 5 Posters or Players it seems. Not to

Ohio considering Match 6 clone

It's worst then the Stupid 6 gameChasIf Ohio Lottery duplicates Pennsylvania pick6 game and reduce the minimum jackpot to $500K, they won't be able to say to Ohioans with a straight face that they have improved the game. When they went to the Ohio649Plus game and stop paying for a match3 and reduced what they paid for a match5, they said they had improved the game with more

reddog,I used a couple of programs I wrote myself in Basic. I have Lotto Pro, but I wanted a little more information that I was getting from it and I prefer to use a RNG that pick numbers with in parameters I choose. The nice part is I only had to do the work once and now I can get the same information about any lottery I play in seconds. Looks like all the parameters were correct, except the match 2 and I got to get some different rules for picking my maga ball, 49 had hit with 32 twice and

Lottery programs
I agree with you MikeK, these results are not a big deal to eliminate tickets. They represent the most common values to come so they are not of any important use. If you apply these to a wheel with 10000 tickets, you'll end with about 9000-10000 tickets too, so what?RJOh, you also say that a serious lotto player will use pencil and paper to reach any conclusions he wants. Why can't he just write a program to do so? It is much easier to code it than having to do the same thing on paper all over a

Lottery programs
Pick4Fortunately I know a programming language, so when I think I need to know more on a regular basis, I write a routine into a program that will give me the answers. I use Lotto Pro which have data files in an ASCII format which allows my programs to read them. For example with one of my programs I can compare a file of MegaMillions with itself and get the following information: matched one 51-87 times/ave. 68 - 80%(62-72)matched two 3-12 times/ave. 12 - 80%(10-14)matched three 0-4 times/ave

Lottery programs
A good data management program will cost more than $100, but most lottery programs don't do a good job of managing or analyzing lottery data, so they are not worth a $100. Every lottery program I've ever tested did little more than show the history of the data. If you wanted to know more than the sums, ranges, gaps, combinations that had hit and etc., you had to get out paper and pencil and go to work. If anyone knows what a serious player really needs to know to make good choices in picking
