PA Cash 5 - Matrix Too Small?
PA's Cash 5 is a pretty decent game. The jackpots usually don't get to high...the average I believe it gets won every other day. Mostly it goes at $100,000 or $200,000. I believe if it fine the way it is. Now Florida's Fantasy 5 game I believe needs to change. That state must sell lots of tickets for their pick 5 game. I mean the jackpot gets hit almost everyday and it usually goes for about $200,000. That means they sell more than 600,000 tickets a night for that game with odds of 1 in

N.J. budget deal, but lottery restart date unclear
New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine and lawmakers reached a deal yesterday on a state budget, six days into a government shutdown that shuttered casinos and threw more than 80,000 people out of work. Corzine said about 5 p.m. that the shutdown would end in 24 to 36 hours. The budget bills first must pass both the Senate and Assembly. He cautioned that the budget accord was not cause for celebration, because too many residents' lives had been disrupted. We have much more to do in the coming mon

WOW ! winning jackpot system at last!
After working with the WN History for awhile I have determined that finding or estimating the correct next sum value between +10/-10 is nearly impossible. You can not depend on Expert Lotto's predictions as far as increase/decrease as it is not 100% correct, and trying to determine which predictions of increase or decrease are correct is an nearly impossible task also. There has got to be a better way of using the WN Histroy filter. So far I have found that after making your estimates you sh

Top Oregon lottery official may lose post
Oregon Senate Democrats might block the reappointment of an Oregon State Lottery commissioner for resisting efforts to further increase the state's share of lottery profits last year.On Wednesday, the Senate Rules and Executive Appointments Committee withheld approval of Stan Robson for another term on the lottery commission, said committee chairwoman Sen. Kate Brown, D-Portland. I have some concerns about the position he took on the last lottery contracts and am not sure I'm going to move forwa

Tenn. Senator seeks more funds for lottery scholars
A state lawmaker's crusade to increase the amount of Tennessee's lottery scholarships is raising concerns among his colleagues and the governor, who say giving full scholarships this early in the program may create a financial crisis down the road.Sen. Steve Cohen, the main sponsor of the bill that created the scholarships last year, said he wants them to fully cover tuition at the state's colleges and universities.Currently, scholarships cover about 75% of students' tuition and fees.Cohen, a Me

OH Lot 'O Play- Drawings
I feel if the Ohio Lottery Commission wants to keep this particular game they will either have to reduce the cost of each play to $1 or increase the payouts for lower tier prizes. Based on the payout results so far, who's winning anything significant? They do not show how many $1,000 winners there were after each drawing. They only show a total amount of money won from that draw. They know that they are in trouble. They will have a new game probably this Spring. When they came up with the 6/53 year

Hey, I got 4 of 5 on one ticket, MB on
No, my tickets were not quick-picks. I generate my numbers through some software I wrote a long time ago. It is a kind of wheeling program, except that it is designed to wheel through the entire field, not a limited subset of numbers. I would never dream of wheeling through subsets, since my impression is that it reduces your odds of winning to do it that way, although if you do win with subset wheeling, you win slightly bigger amounts than you would have otherwise. The program is not desi

Powerball Lottery Jackpot Grows to New Record of $340 Million
Apparently, lots of players bitched about the new annuity payments, although they only changed those to respond to the other lot of players who bitched about inflation hurting the value of the annuity payments. Taken from Powerball's FAQ page:WHY HAS THE CASH JACKPOT GONE DOWN?Actually, it is the annuity jackpot that has gone UP. We start with the cash jackpot amount. In the Powerball game, thirty cents of every dollar sale goes into the cash jackpot pool. The difference between the cash jackp

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
I am calculating powerball rollover probabilities. There is another thread in this forum in which I discuss powerball.https://www.lotterypost.com/threads119427p3.htmI recently discussed several models for a Jack Whitaker beating jackpot and I think the last one is probably a better one than the first, which noted linearity up to the present. If powerball rolls over again tonight, which is a better than even shot, it will be interesting to see if the rate of increase breaks from linearity. If so

Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
Some additional comments against computer drawings:Lotteries exist to make money for politicians.Lottery directors are under constant pressure to increase profits. One way to increase profitsis to find ways to minimize prize pay outs. While not perfect, mechanical ball machines do provide random winning numbers that are acceptable to players. These machines can't be manipulated to provide predetermined winning combinations. The advent of computers has given lottery directors a behind the scene mea
