Public to get say over UK Lottery cash
The public could be set to get a say on where the remainder of the UK National Lottery's money goes. The new Lottery Bill could see Britons voting for their favourite good cause. It aims to increase competition in the bidding process for the licence to operate the Lottery.Next week, the Big Lottery Fund, which hands out 50 per cent of all good causes money, will launch a new televised competition.Called the People's Millions, the joint venture with ITV will allow viewers to vote for their favour

Powerball wants your opinion.
I am also lukewarm to the idea. I am just curious to see if this Blue Game is started, if Powerball will be able to maintain the minimum $5 Million dollar increase per drawing. Creating a new game may hurt Powerball sales and sales may not justify the increase in the next drawing. On the other hand, people may not be able to justify spending $2 on the Blue Game when the jackpot is really low and will stick with Powerball. It will be interesting to see what people will do when the Blue Game

Powerball Lottery States Vote to Change Game
The 29 lotteries that participate in the Powerball game have voted to make changes that will boost the average jackpot size, but also will boost the odds of winning.Starting Aug. 29, the beginning jackpot will increase to $15 million from the current $10 million, the Multi-State Lottery Association announced Wednesday. The top prize will grow by no less than $5 million between each drawing. Lottery games need to be changed from time to time, to respond to both player demands and population chang

Old Pick 3 method reviewed.
It has been said many many times that lottery systems don't work, maybe they won't give you the winning number with just 1 combo, but they should be designed to help you increase your chances of winning, that does not mean that you will win all of the time or very often, but maybe should win at least a little more often than just with plain quick picks. You should know that yes with some systems you will be able to some-what increase your chances of winning more often than without them.I didn

CALIFORNIA JOINS MEGA MILLIONS
This is getting weird. There is reality and there is make-believe. In the case of Texas, they joined Mega Millions, and suddenly jackpots started increasing their rollover size by 50% or so, and the jackpots started going over $100 million with greater frequency than ever.Dvdiva, I have no idea where you're coming up with this stuff. You're an awesome member here, and I always love your input, but this one has me shaking my head. Everyone should be saying a big thank you to Texas (and now Ca

MUSL- My Way.
Here is what I would do to change the games that the MUSL offers.Powerball: Change the matrix to 5/55 and 1/50. Increase the starting jackpot to $20 million annuity.Hot Lotto: Change the matrix to 5/45 and 1/27. Increase the starting jackpot to $2 million annuity. Drawings would take place Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.Wild Card 2: Keep the 2 plays for $1. Change the matrix to 5/40 and 1/28 (8 through Ace of every suit, instead of just the Royal cards). Add a Joker feature. In the dvent that

Which change in Megamillions or Powerball
dvdiva,Most players are pretty much oblivious or indifferent to the odds of the big jackpot games like Powerball and Mega Millions. If the odds made much of a difference to any of us, we probably wouldn't be playing these games at all because we'd be concerned about the huge disparity between odds of the games and the payoff odds, particularly for the secondary prizes. Most people recoginze that dumb luck is a huge factor and they just hope that luck will smile on them.I wouldn't think it would

Powerball sets a new record
The number of states has no direct bearing on the odds of winning PB/MM, which I think is the main issue. There are what...26 or 27 states/districts in PB (this argument correlates to MM also). How large are the rollovers now? In the beginning, maybe $8 or 9 million each draw, right? As the jackpot rises to $100-$200 million we start seeing rollovers of $15 or 25 million, so the pot increases at a much faster rate. Now, for arguments sake, let's say we had twice as many states in one lottery.
