NJ Lottery private operator on track to meet budget projections
Mr. Ragazzo. I had to put my a/c on because of all your hot air. For the lottery uneducated, Ragazzo is a Christie political appointee. His real job is he is a real estate agent. He works p/t and gets $5.000 a year for his expenses. Ragazzo, you state that your corporate pal, Northstar, will see a bump in sales because they are getting a near half million dollar credit because of a computer glitch. However Ragazzo, you leave out the fact that Northstar is owned by the company that committed the

The Real Reason Why The Powerball Lottery Game Jackpot Will Be Impossible To Win At Odds Of 1:292M
Not sure the lottery would earn much on interest. Rates on safe investments are very low. And funds held as cash may earn little to zero, or even below zero interest (some banks charge fees for those with very large balances). Also, unlike Ohio Lotto, which rolled for years, a PB jackpot is unlikely to rollover for more than a few months. In short, interest is peanuts compared to simply selling more tickets at near 50% markup on a large jackpot. As for impossibility, the Mega Millions jackpot

How Random is Random?
We can calculate the probabilities of a lottery game because it's finite. This may sound like I am talking out of my ass but consider this. I can predict the winning set 100% of the time for any number game. What I can't do is make a make a profit playing that way. Because lottery games have finite number of possible out comes, you can cover them all and know the winning combination will be covered too but that is not predicting an outcome, that's simply saying any one of them cou

Powerball Odds This October
Powerball being $2 will probably have higher record jackpots though, we'll see. Each PB ticket puts about twice as much cash in the jackpot prize pool as each MM ticket, and the new odds will be about 1.13 times steeper than MM odds. That means that over the long term the average jackpot should be about 2.2 times bigger than the average MM jackpot. The same should be true for the biggest jackpot in any sufficiently long period of time. The only real problem with a simple calculation like

New England's Lucky For Life.
Yes ... that was my shock back in March when the jackpot was $4 million plus. I called hoping to be in for the next drawing and found out about the three week delay. I called in on a Monday in early March and ordered tickets ... two days later on Wed night ... the very next drawing, the jackpot was hit and the new starting jackpot on Saturday was $500,000 for five drawings ... so I went through some of those low drawings waiting for my subscription to start ... at least I wasn't wasting some

Take5 NY
How UGLY are these numbers??? But ya wanna know sumthin? Best Sets could have gotten you a 4 bagger with them. That's right! I looked at the numbers this morning and thought to myself Aint no way Best Set's is gonna do anything with those numbers. So I picked up my copy of Lotto Stats and looked to see how they did. Unbelievable as it may seem, they had four numbers in their list of sixteen to play for March 12, rotation #4. (23 24 29 33) Do the upgrade you CHEAPSKATE???? Oh yeah Mink-Man

$HALF-BILLION! Powerball raised again on monster sales
That's the spirit lottolucy! I always buy a powerball and mm ticket for ever draw my self! Even the starter jackpots offer you all the handful of millions in cash you ever need to invest towards stocks of like coca cola nestle to be set for life.... You never have to even touch the principal amount, as you get enough in dividends each year to live in a upper class lifestyle if you was smart with it! It would be based off the same game plan am doing for my normal life atm, it's just a mi

Monopoly Millionaires game
Well I guess this goes in the ya never know category. Now, someone here can correct me if I'm wrong, but the past year or so there have been some highly unusual jackpots won in Powerball and (before the MegaBall numbers were reduced to 15), MegaMillions. There is at least one Powerball jackpot I can recall where there was a jackpot winner and NO other tickets matched the first 5 white balls. That's jack crazy! There were I think at least 2 other jackpots in those games where there was a winne

Are Mega Millions sales really that bad now?
I already compared three jackpot runs since the game changed and there was no significant difference so monthly sales is the only sales figure left to compare. The real problem here is as usual you're arguing for the sake of arguing presenting zero facts showing that MM sales are really that bad now and giving an accurate comparison. The current Mega Millions prize is on it's 18th draw and about two years ago, that amount of draws with no winner would have most likely had a billion dollar pri

Are Mega Millions sales really that bad now?
If the subject isn't clear enough, the discussion is about whether or not MM sales are worse than they used to be. Changes to the game may explain why sales are different, but they're irrelevant to whether or not there is a difference. Offering tickets to 50 or 100% more potential customers should increase sales regardless of the quality of the product, so sales should obviously be higher than they were when far fewer states sold the game. If nothing else resulted in less player interest in buyi
