$500 MILLION: Powerball jackpot increased to a half-billion dollars
I just emailed this to lottery post, so they can correct the time frame -
Early Sunday morning, just after midnight Eastern Time, USA Mega announced the new record Powerball jackpot of $425 million after nobody won in the Saturday evening drawing. Now, just 36 hours later, the jackpot estimate for Wednesday's Powerball drawing has been raised to $500 million, with a lump-sum cash option of $327.4 million.
That should be 60 hours later, not 36 hours later.

I think Powerball rolls over one more time.
I think folks will still spend the same amount of money this time that they did on the record $656M this past March even though they are only getting half the tickets.
Looks like the frenzy is getting started late this time around, but since it ticked up to $500M today the buying frenzy is going to be in full force tonight and especially tomorrow. I expect a minimum of two more jackpot increases, one tomorrow afternoon and the other just after drawing time.
Two winning tickets looks

what is your lottery pet peeves??
I only know of one time when there were enough tickets sold that almost guaranteed someone would win the jackpot and that was the record $640 million MM jackpot. And since there were almost 652 million tickets sold for that drawing, it almost justifies not playing until players think the jackpot will be won because the amount sold for that one drawing paid for the jackpot. With only about 16% of the drawing producing a jackpot winner, I can't see why every player should play in every drawing

$325 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot goes through the roof
Yeah, I'm playing Mega Millions on Friday because it is on the sixth draw in the current run, and the last jackpot won was on the fifth draw, and seeing that game is still only $1, that is good enough for me. Powerball, I will only play if the advertised jackpot is revised and ends in 2-, 3-, or 4- million (today being the 22, tomorrow the 23, and Saturday the 24), since that game is $2, that condition AND the condition that it is at or past the level where it was last won (which it was on only

Will Powerball 's and haters begin to play now in record numbers?
Have many people have already broke their bank, leaving them unable to play until their tax return in 2013?
Who can predict the swelling jackpot if it rolls Saturday?
Why is it at the end of the year towards Christmas, that these jackpots grow so large?

UK Lottery operator bids for Pennsylvania lottery
Pennsylvania received one bid in response to its search for a private manager to run the state's lottery system, officials announced Tuesday.
Gov. Tom Corbett's administration announced on Tuesday that a priced bid and 20 years' worth of annual profit commitments has come in from United Kingdom-based Camelot Global Services PA LLC.
Camelot, the firm that currently operates the United Kingdom's lottery, was the only company to submit a bid outlining how much revenue it pledged to raise over

Will Any Of You Powerball Haters Be Playing On This Next Draw?
Without question since the recent price increase, there are many here who now despise this game, and have pledged to never play again.
Although this is far from a record jackpot, will any of you haters be in on this Wednesday's drawing?
If not, what jackpot size would entice you to play?
If Powerball officials changed the current prize structure, to pay a 1+1 a $7 prize, instead of the now $4, would that make you a little happier?

congratulations weekend winners. only read some of the post now trying to catch up and what jumped out at me is sue was all over the 67 pair before the drawing last nite- I presume joeyd hit this one pretty hard. patience was the key- took the whole week for that 67 pair; hope he posts new info. the latest sat-to-sat chart was a hot mess- the whole right side had hit after hit next to one another, on top of one another, filling in the open spaces- really something to behold! good job golgo, lamb
