Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich answers your questions
Understood about your feelings on this, but I can tell you from my interactions with Terry he really is a straight-shooter. Believe me when I say that Terry and ALL the state lotteries definitely understand our feelings about computerized drawings.

Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich answers your questions
With hackers getting into secure computer equipment how can you satisfy the public on their fear of further tampering of computerized drawings? Always reading in the news of some system including government being hacked into. Even if it could be done by radio signals.

why do some states like to use RNG instead of ping pong ball drawings?
They think they're saving money on costs, but the reality is that the numerous glitches and distrust caused by these computerized drawings nullifies any perceived cost savings. It's the lotteries thinking they're being smart, when they're actually destroying their own reputations. I've been writing about this since 2004.

California: 10/1 - 10/31/2015
Abnmaclotto, do you know if California residents can petition against computerized drawings? Also, do you know why they stop airing the daily lottery draws? The computerize draws and the parimutels payout drive me bonkers.

MUSL security worker who rigged drawing gets 10 years
I like this line: unfortunately proved that computerized drawings can be rigged. And that a better thief might have gotten away with it. Maybe they already have!

BOMBSHELL: MUSL employee might have rigged Hot Lotto computerized drawing
I've checked it out and saw before the computerized drawings started there were many more 2nd prize Lotto winners of $1000 than there are now. Sometimes more than double the winners than they have now since they started using the computer to pick the numbers. It was more random. Now they know instantly what numbers have been issued on all the tickets bought and then they can choose to payout the least amount. In other words the Lottery has control in the outcome of winning tickets.

l wish California could bench their Fantasy 5 computerized drawings as well. Their spokesman loves to show their integrity videos on how This unit needs certain keys or whatever / Surveillance cameras in all areas to ensure that No one messes with or looks inside the computerized machine unsupervised . Right.

Billion dollar Jackpot
I don't foresee a billion dollar jackpot unless the matrix became too crazy like maybe 5/75+ 1/40. Or maybe they decided to do computerized drawings. Or both. It would be nice to see that.

Texas Lottery suspends sales of Monopoly Millionaires' Club game
The game might end before I play my first ticket if the big states start pulling out. Many critics weren't too crazy about the cost of a ticket and the fact that it uses computerized drawings. MA Lottery never showed interest of joining this game.
