How to discard numbers out of a pool?
I don't play the big games, but If you think about it, pick-3 players like me are trying to figure the same thing out as you're trying to do, meaning eliminating numbers. We have to deal with 30 single digits, as opposed to 50+ on your end, so it's not that way off. Of course the odds differ drastically, but the elimination process should be somewhat similar.
In fact, I was just outside smoking a cig, and thinking about today's feverish attempt to see a definitive pattern in the pick-3 game.

Using the Cartesian plane in a lottery?
Of course the lottery has patterns. In the case of pick-3, we can start with the basic elimination process and filter out combinations known NOT to show often because of patterns.
I'll bet you 20 bucks that a triple will NOT show in Florida today. I'll bet you another 20 bucks that the 815 will NOT show up gain in today's midday draw as 815 straight. I'll bet you another 20 bucks that 063 will NOT show in the eve for Florida tonight as 063 straight AGAIN.
Now of course, the more filters yo

Result of back testing 2 years of non-winning PB tickets
Interesting Analysis.
If it was me, I would take it one step further analyzing the quickpicks.
I would want to know how many winning numbers did each quickpick generate across all lines.
For example, did a 5-line quick pick generate 4 winning numbers or
did a 1-line quick pick generate 2 winning numbers.
It's been my experience to use quickpicks as a process of elimination.
However, on a 5-line quickpick, I may have four winning numbers on a non-winning ticket!
Good Luck!

My New P3 System For 2015 (Its Awsome)
Take a notice that in each row - there are:
9 doubles
1 triple
2 odd/even
1 series/sequences
9 six way numbers
So here is a process of elimination. If you think the hit will be a double, then play only doubles...if you think odd/even numbers etc. From this workout, I eliminate, and I usually play only bout 10 numbers cuz I dont like doubles, triples and all odd/even numbers cuz majority wins and that is usually a six way number. Good Luck

Which method you choose in the pick 6 lotteries ?
If you're open to learning another language, I recommend C++. I learned Basic and Visual Basic my junior year of high school, and I actually wrote my first lottery program using Visual Basic. As I've said before, my computer program is basically a quick pick generator that tests the sets that it generates using past drawing information, thus relying on elimination to improve my odds, instead of using formulas to pick the right numbers .
Now, we're talking about a Pick 6/48 game. That's a tota

Le, Lo, He, Ho And The Lava Lamp
That looks cool RL!
I'd expect to play these much the same as another trap. These sets stay out a long time. It's a hit and forget play. And when they do hit, checking 6600 draws, it's never more than 2 in a row, except for the one dummy who didn't get the message (HOHOHO hit 4 times in a row.)
I did notice a couple of sets doing the skip, hit, skip stuff so I need to take a closer look.
Since the sets are small, and it looks promising as a straight system, or an elimination system,
