Just wondering
The most I won on a scratcher was $200 on a $2 ticket. I hardly buy scratchers here in IL but every once in a while I get an urge to buy a ticket out of the machine at Dominicks and most of the time my ticket will be a winner.

Dream help
I dreamt I was at the casino and I hit a machine for $80. I went to cash out my ticket and someone snatched it and ran. I started looking for security to ask them to loo at the survelliance camera to see who took my ticket. Needless to say, I woke up angry. I kept saying, I want security I want my $80

I think I got ripped off
The retailers scan the barcode on the back, and enter the security code which are the four numbers in the serial number on the front under the latex that are in boxes or parenthesis. I don't know if they are also required to enter the dollar value of the prize but that may be the case as a security measure since that can only be revealed by scratching off the latex. Once they've scanned the barcode on the back and entered the scratched off security codes, the ticket is inactivated so even if you

Clerk's error makes N.J. man a $100,000 winner
I always buy mistake tickets. There was a girl at this local store I buy my lottery tickets at and one day I asked her for a $10 Hoosier Lotto quickpick. The machine spit out the $10 ticket, but then I saw another $1 ticket come out. I don't what she did to make that happen, she did it by accident. Anyway, she set it aside and brought the $10 ticket over, and I said Hey, I'll take that ticket too . LOL. Honestly, I'd much rather be the person that bought the mistake ticket than the person that d

Which Scratching method is the better bet?
Well i went yesterday and tried out the buy one at a time, scratch it, see the results and then play accordingly. Worked out pretty well, came out 45 ahead for the morning. Not too shabby. The machine i get my tickets from was out of the new 5 dollar bingo scratchers i wanted to play. I bought one of the 25 scratchers and earned my money back on it, then stupidly bought another. When i was looking at the second ticket i saw a black mark at the bottom of the ticket, and i remember reading on here

Lottery winner loses ticket, awarded unspent portion from couple who found it
I don't think it's one of those black white cases. This took place in the UK, but remember when a man in MA found a winning ticket in the trash? That case took years and the man who bought the ticket died of a heart attack while his family continued to fight. If I found a winning ticket and it wasn't signed, I don't know what I'd do. I once found a few tickets on the counter at Publix and gave them to the clerk, but the drawing hadn't taken place yet. She said they probably belonged to the perso

Either she was very stupid or tried to commit fraud.
Making the story short: Know the prize amount before handing a clerk your tickets!!!!!!! Long story: First of all, let me get some common sense out of the way: -If it says you win $10 on a scratch ticket, that means you win $10. 10 dollar prize does not mean I get 0 dollars back. -If the prize receipt says $10, that means the clerk owes you $10. I go to Indiana once every 1 or 2 months to meet-up with a friend for the last 3 years and I pick up Hoosier Lottery tickets on th
