Technical problems delay sales and drawing of Powerball lottery game
Mutliple technology problems yesterday caused problems with both the sales and drawing of the Powerball multi-state lottery game.Getting a Powerball ticket in Nebraska was almost impossible for a short time Wednesday. At about 5:30 p.m., a satellite malfunction shut down all Powerball ticket buying across the Cornhusker state. The problem lasted about 30 minutes. Then, it took up to an hour or more for retailers to log back on.The problems continued for Powerball players later in the night in Iowa

Track together or seperate....
Takeitez, good poll question and it's something that I have grappled with for years and is always a good subject for discussion. As four4me suggested, it would be very helpful to know how your state picks its machines and ballsets for each drawing. For example, in IL the machines and ball sets are picked in a separate random drawing from fifteen machines and ball sets before each drawing. In this situation one might consider combining the draws. However there do seem to be anomalies between the

Looking for Feedback - Computerized Report Card
By the way, for those who didn't see my post in the petition thread, I'll repeat it here:Anyone who has never seen a computerized drawing should check out this link. It's a Minnesota drawing conducted by computer. After watching the video, you decide: Is this what you want?Do you feel confident that a fair drawing was conducted? Is this worth the savings of .0001% of the lottery's budget every year?Does this make you want to run out and buy a ticket?http://www.mnlottery.com/drawshow/wed256wm.ht

Curious about jackpot winners
No, Mega Millions is not rigged. If it were a computerized drawing there would always be lingering suspicion, but since it's a mechanical ball drawing, the likelihood is practically nil. Besides, the drawing is held in Atlanta, and if given the choice, I'm sure the Georgia lottery personnel who operate the lottery would not want to have the winners be from outside of Georgia, since the winner's home state brings home some nice tax revenue.
