Ohio Super Lotto 11/22/2003
lottoking,When you critique my posts and others, I don't consider that making fun of anyone, but an effort to help. I look forward to critiquing your predictions when they fail, as lottoking you should expect no less. Your are not the first to make a big claim and failed and you won't be the last. When you pick lottery numbers, odds are you aren't going to pick a winner unless you get lucky. When you post them, someone will think they can do better and will likely tell you so. Good luck to yo

Lottery Pools - Your Thoughts??
Quote: Originally posted by Lottery_Analyst on November 21, 2003 I am considering starting a part time business to establish pools for small groups of people that would like to play together. For example, I would set up a pool for 5 people to play Mega Millions. Each person would contribute $5.00 and 90% of the pot would go to buying tickets and 10% for administration. So for $5.00, each person would have 22 tickets played for them and would be entitled to 1/5 of any of the winnings. This is on

Couldn't the same thing be accomplished with just one fast PC? Or are there many or no specific solutions? RJOhThe fastest one is indeed a little more likely to find the solution, but even an older and slower computer could come up with it. It depends on where in random space the action was started at a certain compu

Indiana Resident Claims $12 Million Powerball Jackpot
He was shaking as he held my ticket, Allen said. He wouldn't even take a dime as a thank-you. He said at his business they are not allowed to accept money and he didn't want to be fired. _______________________________________________________________________Sounds like he already offered the clerk a small gratuity, which he refused. Maybe he should have multiplied that dime by a million($100K) and the clerk could have afforded to changed job if there was a problem when his boss found out he

Indiana Resident Claims $12 Million Powerball Jackpot
That was a nice story of a lottery player who was too lazy to check his own tickets, took them to a store where he didn't buy them, dump them on that store's clerk , said check these tickets and give me a call at home if I win anything because I don't have the time to waste while your are checking my tickets and left. The store clerk took the time to check all those tickets, found a $12M winner among them , called him at home, held the ticket for him to pick up and refused any gratuity for fe

I don't like it when the automatic update program runs on my computer and slow me down let alone some lottery program that might take days to come up with some results. It takes the lottery all of 30 secs. to pick and post their random results and it shouldn't take a computer IMHO more than 15 mins. to pick some numbers that are no more likely to win than those of a RNG. I'll just stand on the side lines and watch and see what happens. Good luck to you.RJOh

NY Lotto: 25 years of ripping off winners
Those odds don't sound that bad. In OhioSuperLotto,a 6/49+1 game, the overall odds of winning something(a free QP for annuity payments) is 1:54, but the odds of winning the smallest cash amount ($5) is 1:812 for a $1 play, that's about 81 to 1 for a buck per every 50 spent.A few years ago they had a limit on what a single ticket would pay regardless of the jackpot size. That was doing the good old days when jackpots were as high $60M and rollovers were a least $4M. After people stopped playing

Lottery winners giving away money.
Quote: Originally posted by Thomas Covenant on November 13, 2003Most people think lottery winners should give away tons of money to charities, churches, friends, family, etc, what do you think? The only people that think that are losers who are looking for something for nothing. If they ever won a lottery jackpot, giving their winnings away would be the last thing on their mind. People who share what they have with others don't need to win a lottery to do so. There are lots of people out there as

MM Drawing for Tues. 11/11/03
Chief,The OhioSuperLottoPlus is a 649 game that chooses a 7th ball as a bonus ball which is used for matches less than six. The overall odds of winning any money is 1:812. Earlier this year that was changed to include a free QP with annuity for a match 3 which changed to overall odds of winning something to 1:54. The jackpot has better odds than MegaMillions but the lower prizes amount and odds are worst. I don't usually play it when the jackpot is below $10M, but it will be $13M this weekend
