Excel is great for these kinds of things, because you don't need 10,000 different software packages, each with their own errors and quirks and features. Excel is a lottery player's best friend.
If you don't know how to work with numbers, combos, and digits in Excel, then learn! There are tons of books on the market, and all you have to do to get started is fire it up and start playing around.
Plus, it comes with lots of built-in help and tutorials, and the Microsoft site has lots of great

Lottery Results Gadget
I just got a brandy-spankin' new computer last week. It's my first one with Windows 7. Browsing through LP, I (re)noticed the Lottery results gadget that was offered a while back when Microsoft changed over to their Windows Vista OS. I had forgotten about it since my computers always used XP. Just for the heck of it, I downloaded the gadget onto my desktop. It's a pretty simple gadget, but it really is amazing. For those who have Vista or Windows 7, you may want to check it out. You get to choos

Global Lottery Solutions (G.L.S)
Hello its just straight C/C++ using Windows API. The main window is just a Windows Rich Edit Control. I chose a rich edit control so that I could easily highlight the matched numbers, it makes it a little more visual. I write device drivers for a living but not necessarily UI programs so the UI is not going to be anything great but it should fit the purpose.
As previously said once done, I will provide the source code along with the binaries so anyone would be able to modify it if they have s

Can you make good predictions without software?
I've had no luck on any of the number games so far. Not one dollar won (with the exception of small prizes on club keno). Basically, I used the free tips found on smartluck.com because I didn't want to buy a software online. I figure there must be a simple way to reduce your odds, giving you a better chance than just random guessing, but after 2 months of playing classic lotto 47, I haven't even won 5 bucks from matching 3 numbers.
Now, I've read some of the systems on this site, but it al

Question about Excel 2007 for dummies books
The book I used was VBA for Microsoft Office 2000 . ISBN is 0-672-31567-X.
Now this book is full of VBA stuff. I use very little of it. When I wanted to know how to program something to achive a goal, I read this book to find the answer. I skippied over drop-down boxes, pull-down menus, charts, Data Access Objects, and the like. All I wanted to know was how to program my Excel to achieve a certain result. If the time ever comes when I want to know something else, then I will go to the book.

Win Your Lottery by Lotto-Logix Is Now Available
LotteryCracker2.zip you need to make a directory like c:\Cracker2 and use a program like winzip to extract the files from the archive to the directory you made to house it. After that clicking on Cracker.exe should open and run the program. If you are missing vbrun300.dll you have to copy that file to windows or windows/system I forget which but is harmless to copy to both. LotteryCracker2 is only for 6/49 so if your game is larger don't bother.
If you try to open a zip file and get a bunc

Web site refresh/update
Thanks Lucky!
Not sure if you upgraded to IE8 yet (it was just released today see my blog from today), but when I upgraded a PC of mine from IE7 to IE8 today I noticed a pretty big improvement in performance, even over the improvements in this latest site update. Microsoft has also increased performance of the JavaScripts running in each page, so even after the page loads, you should notice an improvement in response time as you click on various features and buttons.
When you end up upgrad
