What would the winning jackpot system consist of?
Most states recognize the chances are good that a player could reduce his odds of winning by a half by observing the history of past drawings so the payout amounts are adjusted accordingly. For example, MegaMillions overall odds of winning something are 1:39.8 and the most likely prize is a 0+1 which pays $2 so if a player reduced his overall odds of winning to 1:20 he would still be spending $20 to win $2. To break even, a player would have to reduce his overall odds of winning close to 1:2 whi

That's funny.
Me, unless it's the pool my boss is in, he won't know unitl the $ is in the bank. If I did it like this video, it'd be just my luck I'd be looking a the wrong ticket too.

Kentucky: 7/1 - 7/31/2009
OK I was busy throwing a party last night and didn't do my powerball.
Here is my pool of numbers I've been using for the past week or so.
White Ball: 2-4-7-9-13-19-21-26-28-32-34-38-21-41-44-49-53-57-59
Power Ball: 4-14-24-34
And last night's Powerball number:
4-9-22-41-44-14
Missing only the 22.
I reduce the pool to 12 WBs and 2 PBs and wheel them then pick out a couple of favorites... I know still a long shot but hey.
Which looks verrrry similar to a number I played la

Modified; If you can pick one digit
Try to remember that picking a winning combo isn't just about picking digits that will hit. Eliminating digits that WON'T hit is crucial as well. That's what this is geared towards okay. One of the three digits that came in last night won't hit tonight. Really, how often do two digits repeat? In my state, on average every 20 days or so. A three digit repeat, like I said earlier, two or three times a year? So what I'm saying is in your pool of digits that your trying to eliminate, make sure to i

How does the POWERBALL lottery estimates its estimated jackpot?
the starting jackpot comes from a reserve.
Occasionally that's true, but the starting jackpot isn't paid very often. Most of the time the jackpot rolls at least a few times before there is a winner, and by that time the jackpot prize pool is well above the minimum levels. For the first drawing or two sales won't cover the jackpot, but for the next few drawings part of the sales will be used to cover that shortfall instead of increasing the jackpot. Once the full jackpot is covered, all of t

Lottery Wins
Let me see, I have frequently won small prize on scratch offs, with the most being $20. I have won in the $50 range on Powerball and Lotto a few times as well. The most I ever won was on a second chance drawing when I sent in a scratch off and won $100. Still hoping to hit the big one.
Now I run a Powerball/Lotto pool at work and my wife and I both put in a little money every week to play both Powerball and Lotto. Hopefully something will come of that.

New Here - In Boise, Idaho
I visited your city a couple of years ago and had a great time. I also bought some lottery tickets while I was there. Didn't win anything though, but it was fun to play your state's lottery.
Running lottery pools has been discussed here many times, you may want to search out some of those posts. There are advantages, but disadvantages as well. Something to think about before starting a pool.

Either way, I gotta wisen up and roll the dice again. Going to take $3 and add it to the $2 I won, play 5 lines with my numbers for tomorrow night. Good luck to me...and everyone else

Is Arizona cursed?
**SORRY...FORGOT TO INCLUDE TEXT--RESPONSE TO ArtVandalay**
Well, that gives me some hope! I saw that someone won $200,000.00 somewhere in AZ. I started another pool ($1) buy in's for Arizona ONLY lotteries. Maybe the payout isn't as extrordinary as Powerball, but I'll take $100's or $1,000's (I like the sound of millions too)...I'm not greedy...just want a little piece of the pie! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
