If that advice was any good, the resterant owner would be playing a $10 card himself. It cost him nothing to give bad advice and it will cost you $10 if you take it. It has been discussed before somewhere in this forum, that the value of a Jackpot is the amount that the cash would earn if invested in a 28 or 30yrs annunity. If the interest was more the jackpot would be more. Sounds like Jamal should be angry at himself for not making sure his co-workers unstood when he was buying tickets for the pool and when he might be buying them for himself. There were no mention of whether anyone in the pool gave him money to buy tickets for that drawing, only that if he bought a winning ticket the pool expected to share. In GWBasic the following routine will print out all the combinbinations of sixes for a 649 lottery. Someone once posted a similar routine for Excel. In GWBasic, eliminating N4,N5 and N6 and other small changes will print out all the combinations of threes for a 649 game. I was thinking that the same thing was true in Excel. SHTh,There are 18424 possible combinations of threes in a 49 number field. If you have the formular for coming up with the 13983816 combinations of sixes then modiy it for three. To find the frequency of match 3's, you can use an odds calculation which will be pretty close to the real answer you get by checking each file record with the total file. I'm surprised a case like this would ever come to court. There doesn't appear to have been a clear agreement about whether tickets were to be purchased every drawings or only when the jackpot was a certain size, whether small winnings were to be accumulated or used, whether participants had to continue to contribute to stay current or whether anyone was to post the results of the tickets purchases. I was looking at the last ten numbers profile and notice that 70% of the numbers in the first position had been in that postion 11+ times and 70% of the numbers in the last position had been it that position 7+ times. 01,02,and 06 have dominated the low postions and numbers 44 and up have dominated the high postions.
