Why pools?
I have noticed that most if not everyone here attempts to reduce the numbers played into a pool of 10 to 20 numbers. From there they use wheels to determine which combinations to play. My question is why? What is your reason for going in this direction rather than some other. And what might that some other be?

Insight to Jackpot lottery pools
Here are the answers for the pool I am in. How many people are in the pool? Varies. Lately it has been 30 to 50 people. How much does each member contribute per drawing? Left up to the person. The more they pay, the bigger their share of jackpot. How much does the team spend on average per drawing? About $500 How often and how much do they win? Not often enough and so far not enough money to quit playing. Do they play every drawing? Only play when the jackpot is ove

Do you Believe Lotteries are Random?
I wanted to believe this too until I actually did start studying. Certain things occur that simply can't be random. Like for example, study any lottery you want to, and you will find that a number repeats from the very last drawing at least 65% of the time. 80% or better in Pick 3 and Pick 4 games. Or the fact that the numbers come up in a 3/2 or 2/3 combination of high and low numbers or odd and even numbers. Rarely do you every have all low numbers or all high numbers. Even more rare is all od

10 N.J. co-workers will split $216M lottery jackpot
It nice to hear about a lottery pool that players can go out on the limb and cover other players not around or a little short when the money is collected and know win or lose they will get their money back. There are too many lottery pools with players who don't pay but want to be covered if they win but have the option of not being in if they lose.

That Oviedo guy is lucky a different kind of person wasn't over the pool; the kind who would have said you snoozed, you lose. Still, my favorite way is the collect and play long in advance method used by the California people.

10 N.J. co-workers will split $216M lottery jackpot
Wow, another lottery pool wins a large jackpot. Been a lot of these the last few years. Especially the very large jackpots. So I guess quantity is important. But they have played for years, so that is a lot of losing as well. But that does not matter now. I can't believe they actually collected $5 from a guy and then said he was a millionaire. I guess he knew there was plenty to go around and did not want to deal with potential lawsuits and hard feelings.

Their usual ticket buyer, Alan Mooney, always stops by colleagues' desks to collect ticket money, asking Are ya in? When I first read that I figured they had a 100% chance of being sued if anybody wasn't included in this one. I'll presume that Space had already bought the tickets that Oviedo owed the money for, but it's also possible that he figured they woul dbe sued otherwise. Whatever the reason, tthat he took care of Oviedo could make it harder for anyone else who wants to claim that th
