If you use a computer program to pick and check the numbers you play, a record of all your plays are kept automatically unless you delete them. After updating the drawing results in the program you probably check to see if you won anything so you should have a rough idea of how you're doing. However getting statistics on your wins and loses over a longer period of time takes a little more effort but the data is always available if you want to use it. Losing is not as discouraging as checking

Some quick STATS for tomorrows drawings I am following the digit 2 it has disappeared last hit was 20 drawings ago it has never skipped more than 26 dwgs in over 30 yrs so it could either break a record or pop soon I think it will pop soon. I played 12 #s. Basically you write 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 across the top of the page. On the left side I record the winning # and the sum and the date and day. I use graph paper and I put an X under each of the #s on the top for each digit of the winner. If 481 is the #, put an X under the 1,4,8. If it were the case, then clerks all over the country would be able to scan these and find big winners, then quit their jobs or live very comfortably. Well, they could try, but a record is generated every time a ticket is scanned. Normally, its buy-code is scanned when it is bought and the prize-code is scanned, later, when it is checked for a win. Get the order or timing wrong, and you're busted.

I'm with Todd on this one. I think that it is a rollover, but you never know because quick picks will frequently choose higher numbers. I guess we will all know soon enough.
