22 postal workers win $10.2M Powerball lottery jackpot
I think you should start one. I have started one at my job. I actually have a pool for both. We play PB when it gets over 50mill and i drive up to Illinois and get tickets for MM when its over 100mill.
Of course the PB play is $1 per person and the MM is $5 per person and I get the tkt for the next 5 draws

Developing a winning MegaMillions System
Stew,
In the last 100 drawings when the pool of numbers were numbers that had hit 4-8 times in the previous 50 drawings the pool size varied 30-43 numbers and had:
all 5 winning numbers 9 times
4 of 5 winning numbers 30 times
3 of 5 winning numbers 31 times
2 of 5 winning numbers 23 times
1 of 5 winning numbers 6 times
0 of 5 winning numbers 1 time
Good luck to you.

Developing a winning MegaMillions System
Good luck RJ.
Our PB pool picked up $11 tonight on two 1+1's, and a 0+1. Picked 32 WB numbers, and only had 1 of 5. Oy. Managed to sneak the PB number in there though. I would consider switching PB WB's to a middle-ranked group, but top/bottom have much higher percentage unlike MM, which appears to have a higher percentage of middle-ranked numbers. I'll be doing some further analysis before Saturday for sure.

New Powerball / Mega Millions Survey
The questions asked presented an interesting concept. The option of buying 1 ticket with 1 chance to win a prize or 1 ticket with 10 chances to win 10 prizes at 1/10th their value.
There would have to be some restrictions because I could see even players in a pools participating in such a pool. After all getting 10% of something always beats getting a 100% of nothing.

New Powerball / Mega Millions Survey
Todd
It's not so much a poll about Powerball or MegaMillions as it is about forming pools to play these games. They want to know if one would be interested in their new pooling options ... like buy 5 regular $1 tickets and then have the option of buying 10 pool tickets for an additional $1. Don't know if this is the PB/MM folks them selves thinking of marketing this ... or some competitor of USA Mega trying to horn in on your action

Developing a winning MegaMillions System
I don't know if I would abandon it! Lets do a little analysis here.
Looking back 279 drawings, this is the order of the numbers most frequent to least frequent (if my calculations are correct):
White Balls:
53,46,5,36,7,40,24,14,12,30,51,43,42,25,48,17,54,44,22,13,16,31,56,52,39,26,35

Mega Balls:
22,2,42,10,7,35,15,39,44,36,21,37,38,26,4,12,9,6,30,43,41,17,5,14

I always get bummed
I agree that every drawing is a drawing unto itself and has no bearing on the drawing before or after it. But probability does not work that way.
Consider this:
You flip a coin (and providing there are no crazy variables like variable air pressure, uneven weight to the coin, etc...in other words, all factors being equal) four times. Each time it is tails. Now, all factors being equal, there is a 50/50 chance it will land on tails each flip. And if you made an infinite number of flips, exac

Review of system
The distribution pattern 4.ABCCC was predicted
Total Matches with previous drawings close but need adjustments
*4 of 5 winning numbers in core pool of 45 numbers
*Bonus number not in bonus pool of 20 numbers
Beat over all odds of 1:39 of getting a hit
Beat odds of 1:306 of getting a 3/5+0
The additional parameters(sum range and gaps) were on target
System need some tweaks before next MM drawing but will keep the 20 combo format.

try these tonight
RJ, I have been saying that for years, sometimes you are better off looking for numbers to AVOID in order to narrow down your pool of what to pick from.
I was pretty good at it a year or so ago, but like all trends, they go away. And come back.

What would you do if you had to share your jackpot?
I don't know, if I'm playing for 15 mill face value, I want 15 mill face value and the same goes for all intervals high and low.
So no I dont want ANYBODY to win with me especially since the majority of winners win on their lonesome(no pool) and theres only ONE winning ticket. So if somebody else wins with me I would be P*ISSED.
