To Greg,While I don't look at groups of numbers, I do look at combinations of numbers. For example in Magamillions, very few combinations of threes have repeated since the game started so I don't play any combinations of threes that have hit before. In Ohio649P very few combinations of threes repeat from the last 25 drawings, so I play combinations which has not matched three in the last 25 drawings. To Kristin,Sounds like you have collected enough data to start to get a feel for the numbers you want to play. I have all 82 drawings in my database and it shows the ave. sum =136 (58-212), ave. range =36 (13-50), and the ave. gap =9 (1-41). Seldom has a number matched three of more numbers in the past drawings so far and it has matched two an aveage of five times(1-11). Gentlemen, I think you all miss the point of the MegaMillions and PowerBall games. The games make money for the participating states and that is their number one priority. They offer large jackpots turn arounds quicker then any of the states could by themselves. When you get a potential of 100 thousand players willing to spend $5-$100 when the jackpot gets over $100M, there is a good chance most of the possible combinations are going to be played and it unlikely the jackpots will reach the $3

GWBasic is a a high level programing language which use to come with all PC computers years ago. It was similar to a language I used on my Commodore64 and when I moved over to a Tandy1000, I taught myself GWBasic. In Ohio we have Buckeye5 a 5/37 game which I don't play very often, but when I do, I play 8 combinations which have all 37 numbers in them and have not matched 3 in the last 80 draws . I most always match 2 for $1 and about 25% of the times I match 3 for $10 which is a little better than the overall odds but I still come up short. I have matched 4 several times, but I have never matched 5. The odds in your 5/35 game is a little better, so maybe you will have better luck. Good luck to you.RJOh

Lottery tickets are like bearer bonds, unless a name is written on the back of them, they belong to the person who has them in hand, regardless of who purchases them. When I go to Indiana to purchases powerball tickets, I sometime pick up a few for friends, but I have no claims to the tickets winnings once I have given them the tickets even if I payed for them. That just prove my point, he was lucky enough to win the jackpot before Nov'98, otherwise he would have had a chance to made more bad choices.
