Your stars finally align and you win, but...
You have been pooling your money with your bf/gf for years and you suddenly find out that you the sole winner of the $150mil MM jackpot. However there is a slight Problem : you two had a major falling out, she/he cleared their stuff out of the apartment, on the Monday, you won that very Friday.
Do you tell yourself Well we were close before it hit the fan, l guess l could cut the ex a cheque for say $5 mil out of the goodness of my heart .. or do you wait for the other shoe to drop where she/

Spot 603 103
I like 603 for 4 reasons:
It's a date play It's one of my astrology pairs It's a 2 digit return from yesterday morning And above all, it's an number associated with the Carolina Panther's QB Cam Newton's contract extension announced this morning!!
He gets a $103m contract extension with a guaranteed $60m in

New Mexico Lottery suddenly terminates CEO
Board provides no explanation for action
The New Mexico Lottery's board of directors has voted to terminate the contract of chief executive officer Tom Romero, effective immediately.
Romero had been the lottery's executive vice president of security since its inception in 1996 and CEO since November 2006.
The seven-member, governor-appointed Lottery Authority Board voted unanimously to terminate Romero's contract Wednesday.
No reason was immediately given for the move and board membe

What are the current games you're playing?
Nah, you just sue 'em and say they were supposed to put you in.
Then let the lawyers and the judges work out the details, that's their job.
Pools are easy money.
If they say you didn't sign the contract, you just say the guy took your money and said he didn't have the contract with him but would give you a copy later.
Then smile for the cameras after you get your rightful and well-deserved share of the winnings.
They don't need all that money anyway, there's plenty enough for eve

Would you split the MM/PB jackpot evenly amongst family members if you Won?
that's weird you would post this i just read about this guy yesterday:
He Left a Fortune, to No One Mr. Blum, a Holocaust survivor and real estate developer, left behind no heirs and no surviving family members his former wife died in 1992 and the couple was childless.
He hid $40,000 in the ceiling of his bathroom

Man dropped from lottery syndicate wins share in court
Whats the joy in winning $200M then spending years fighting for it in the courts?
Oh the horror. I'd just hate to have to put in 3 years of effort to get 10 or 20 million bucks.
10 shares paid in, now Mr. Pezzin'll have to give up his share to satisfy an 11th claim.
That's what happens when you're bad at running your business. When you sell one item twice you have to figure out a way to satisfy both buyers.
That like saying what you intended to do is a good substitute for what y

I think I lost a friend of 15 years.
So let say, the ladyfriend were like a business consultant; she gave SmoothJuice the numbers, a suggested business decision. And SmoothJuice assumed all 100% of the risk by waging $1.50; I condider this as an investment because playing lottery is like a business you have to treat it like one. If SmoothJuice did not win, an opportunity of $750 of would be lost, so did the original investment. The ladyfriend would get nothing no fee. But that would be odd in business. What if SmoothJuice had to pa

How many pre-test draws are normal?
A good argument could be made by the lottery is their procedures are their intellectual property and not to be disclosed. Since they admit to changing tubes and holding pre draws and after draws their admitting to the public that they conduct these things be in accordance with whatever by laws they have in their proprietary contract.
Well maybe they shouldn't hide behind fancy law' jargon and supposed contract obligations and just cut the crap. The people aren't stupid, well, atleast the

N.J. Lottery goes from zero to highest tax rate in the USA
First the easy one. Mmoving after you win will not change your tax liability. It's possible that a few states don't cover the situation (though I doubt it), but you can expect that the tax laws have already covered that in two ways. Your tax obligation arises when you have constructive possession , which generally means when you become entitled to the money. Online games are easy. If you have the right numbers your ticket becomes a winner as soon as the drawing is held, and at that moment you be

N.Y. takes first step toward lottery privatization
New York has taken a step toward privatizing the state lottery. The state's Budget Division has started the process of hiring an independent investment adviser to guide Gov. Eliot Spitzer's proposal.
Spitzer wants to open the lottery to private investors, using money made on a potential lease to start and sustain an endowment funding the State University of New York system. Spitzer has said any offer must include at least $4 billion in upfront payments.
The Budget Division is seeking a f
