Tenn. Lottery players complaining over switch from numbered balls
I'm not from Tennessee either, but I'm sending the results of this exciting new way to draw to my state's lottery commission so they can see how quickly they could lose their credibility and invite charges of fraud, founded or not by switching to a RNG drawing. Copies will be sent to my state representative and senator too.

Couple nearly victims of lottery scam
I don't think it's right that if someone is victim of a scam they themselves can be prosecuted for bank fraud. If anything if the bank gave them the money they should only have the recourse of maybe putting a lien on their property but not criminal charges! I think it should be the bank's responsibility to validate the source of the funds, maybe hold the check a few days and once it's validated then pay it if it's legit.

8-time B.C. Lottery winner has history of fraud
That is a low threshold for being considered a Lottery Winner , I always thought of a lottery winner as a person that hit a significant jackpot at least $50K minimum. Also where is the fraud being commited? I see retailers participating in the games all the time.

N.C. Woman Still Waiting For Lottery Payout
Aside from fraud, or cluelessness, some of these smaller shops may (sadly, validly) feel that if it becomes known that you can cash your winning tickets at Ma Pa's Backwoods Gas Go , then that implies they keep a significant amount of cash on hand. You can deduce the other implications from there. Same goes for only cashing tickets bought local . They are saying (without saying) that they will only deal with people they already know . While that is probably in violation of lottery statute

Retailers luckier than expected, Atlantic Lotto says
It's in the U-S too. The California lottery last year charged a man who had his ticket stolen by a lottery retailer. The Fifth Estate covered that story along with the Bob Edmonds one. If you go to CBC.ca/fifth/ there's information about some of the U-S lottery jurisdictions where retailer fraud happened.

Georgia Trucker Claims Half of Record $390 Million Lottery Jackpot
working a job is not a fraud.only the tax system that we are a part of is.all i am saying is that if the jackpot was not advertised as 390 million then there revenue would not have been anywhere near what it was this go round.it must have been pretty high for the jackpot to jump up 60 million in only 3 or 4 days.

Georgia Trucker Claims Half of Record $390 Million Lottery Jackpot
Lottery is a fraud.out of 390 million dollars how do u only give out 160 million after taxes?.at the very least the winners should walk away with at least half of the advertised jackpot after taxes.i guess that i will never be a millionaire through the lottery system because i dont play the million dollar games.the statement about them cutting it in half because of the lump sum is not true..if you take the 20 year option you still will pay the same amount in taxes if not more.there are no 300 p

S.C woman facing 3 charges of lottery fraud
A South Carolina convenience store employee turned herself in to police Monday on allegations she stole dozens of scratch-off lottery tickets from work last month and then cashed in the winners, officials said. Tashawn I. Ealey, 23, of the 300 block of Jehossee Drive in Aiken, is charged with three counts of lottery fraud. Detective Billy Royster, Aiken Public Safety, said the subject stole the tickets, each valued at $10, and then collected the money for the winners. The store, howe

Jamaica police investigating an international sweepstakes and lottery scam, were last night interrogating a 19-year-old St James woman to determine how she came to have $1 million in cash in her possession. After news of the police operation spread, the question on the lips of Montegonians was where did such a young woman get so much money. The woman, Sheneika Headley gave her address as Westgate Hills, an upscale residential district near this north coast tourist resort city. The police w

Leaving Lottery Post (LP)
Well, I'm not a big fan of Dawn Nettles, because ALL she does is criticize the lottery. Not to mention that she accused me of being a fraud and accused me of working with the lotteries. After I saw that, I realized that if Dawn Nettles was talking about you, then she's criticizing you. She hasn't a nice thing to say about anything, and when all someone does is criticize, they are normally accurate only about 50% of the time.
