Maybe the NC Lottery is fishing in a different stream, and looking to attract people who are not regular lottery players. The prizes do seem a little puny, though, and with only a 9% chance of hitting a small prize, I'd probably pass, too.

i don't get why the casino lobby thinks the lottery is a threat. it's not like most gamblers stick to a budget. people who play slots are not going to decrease their slot spending just because the lottery is in town.

I don't know how much you are spending a day on the lottery and it's not my business but if you are spending $20 a day that is either $620 or $600 a month. If you are spending that much or more perhaps it's time to take a break from the lottery for a while till you get back on your feet financially. Wish you the best in your situation.

I don't know of any help anyone here could give you. Looks like you need to find a way to get to the lottery office to make your case. Since you need money for your family, stay away from the video lottery establishments. That is a quick way to spend a lot of money quickly.

Rising Gas Prices and the LotteryReply
Nehhhh....I have a coworker that's habitually late since 2022 and that takes care of any normal weekly purchases .....The only thing that affects my lottery play is the cost of rising lottery prices and games with foolish odds. One or the other or both would be the culprit for non participation.
