Virginia Lottery players rake in $7.9 million with 4-4-4-4 in Pick 4
That is just it, no pick 4 or any other draw number is guaranteed to get drawn within a given year. By playing the number 4444 daily for an entire year at $672 is not going to guarantee a top prize win of $5,000. South Carolina pick 4 lottery was established in 2003, and the number 4444 was not drawn there until January 2024. This means that someone in South Carolina playing 4444 daily would have to wait 22 years and have spent $14,112 to hit 4444, at a loss of $9,112. I think the lottery makes

MM $5, PB $2, Powerplay $1I
You are missing the point as to why a lot of players resent the $5 ticket price.
The whole point of Mega Millions is the big jackpot and maybe the hope of second prize. It's really stupid to increase the ticket price so the lower prizes can be increased.
Third prize is 10k and multiplied up to 100k
The odds of getting anything above 30 k are really ridiculous.
If I want to go for 100k I don't need Mega Millions to do that!
I could buy a Fantasy 5 ticket for 1$ and get mu

Hi my name is Howard Drummond. A few months ago I won a jackpot at Jake's tavern on se Milwaukee Ave in Portland Oregon. I won it on the second machine from the door on a game called huff n puff during the bonus it gave me the major jackpot it payed $1500 and printed out a ticket right away. My friend Tim spreager was with me when I won. I didn't have a car so getting down to Wilsonville wasn't easy, so a friend of mine Shelby I owed him some money and told him that I won and showed him the tick

Balancing Odds and Cost 😁
A lot of players talk about or are thinking about value when buying a lottery ticket. That's fine if that's important to a player.
As for me personally, because of the ridiculous odds against players, I don't give value any thought at all. When I buy tickets all I'm thinking about is What could/would I do with it if I won a big pile of money? I know and accept the fact that I'll probably never actually have the pleasure of making that decision.
My attitude is if I don't win, it's no bi

New Money and Old Money
You don't have any dreams for the future. Old curmudgeons never do. You shut off your hearing aids when someone offers their side of an argument.
Regardless of what anybody thinks of the old money vs. new money controversy, there's this -
A very high percentage of the time, Grandpa's money never makes it to his grand kids. Grandpa's adult children see to it that that wont ever happen.
I'm an old curmudgeon myself. Maybe I've got ten years left, maybe not. It'll be my luck that I'll

Arizona lottery retailer employee sued after buying $12.8 million ticket knowing it was a winner
Every lottery ticket has the phrase, This ticket is a bearer instrument written on the back of it. It should belong to the manager. He signed it.
Now the questions are, Exactly who at corporate arranged to have the ticket taken away from Gawlitza and given to the lottery office, how and why did they arrange it, and how did they convince Gawlitza to give up the ticket if the ticket was in his possession? Were there any threats made? Why would corporate willingly turn the ticket over to the A

mathematics of re-playing small wins
I never replay small wins, at least not at the moment when I cash a ticket.
I always buy my tickets before I cash my winners.
I tell the store clerk It's not everyday that I get to walk away with money and they laugh
So I could have a $4 winning PB ticket, but I will get $4 from my wallet, buy my tickets, get my receipt and then cash the winner.
Of course the next time when am buying lottery tickets, the money coming out of my wallet would be what I got paid last time.

Maryland voucher?
I was thinking about it today at work. I scanned my voucher in the machine. His tickets where still printing. which i did not know cause he walked away The machine did not credit me till after his tickets where done printing. That why he blurted out. I still got money in the machine which he did not. Cause i even looked at the credit sign at the top of the machine. It showed 00.00 before scanning my voucher. And that's why he come back up to the machine to retrieve his tickets. He either acted l

Private Selection
Let me see if I can get this straight. Your claim is: 1) if the lottery did a simple random number drawing, they would not make money, and 2) because they are using a pattern, this is what does make them money.
Both of those claims are wrong.
1) The lottery pays out either 500-1 or 600-1 for a pick 3 straight, which has a 1 in 1,000 chance of winning in a fair drawing. Do some math. This paytable gives the lottery a significant profit margin.
2) If they are using a pattern and you w
