Quick Picks versus Own Numbers
I prefer to make out the cards for all my numbers because I like to play most if not all the numbers and I prefer to pick the parameters of my numbers (sum, gaps, ranges and etc). Tomorrow when I play the Megamillion games all my picks will have a sum greater than 150, I most likey will not win, but it won't be because QP gave me a bunch of lousy numbers. Actually there are no lousy numbers because any combination can be drawn, but I hear this excuse a lot from lottery players who lose. Man

To Vision,I doubt if anyone can said for sure whether Lottocheatah came out ahead or not without checking all 3500 combinations posted and checking the payouts for each of those drawings , but check the post that Lottocheatah made December 06,2002 of the archive and do the math as he suggested allowing $10 for 3/6 and ~$100 for 4/6 and you can make a good estimate.Lotto Cheatah (Canada 6/49) game 5 results for Aug 10, 2002LottoCheatah 1 = 1,375 pts.1 x 4/6 =$1006 x 3/6 =$60LottoCheatah 2 = 114

Lotto CheatahIf you are saving 10 combinations for every depths setting from 50 to 500 (steps of 5) per game, then you are saving a list of 900 numbers to check for each game which increases the chances of you having a winner. I have been comparing your results with a list of 10 to 20 combinations per draw which I normally play. To get a fair comparison, I will need to create a list of 900 combinations per draw even if I can only afford to play 10-20 of them to see if I get similar resul

I also matched 5/6 in April in Ohio649P for $1500 and 55491 points and I'm still in the hole almost a $1000, but it nice to know that my own program written in GWBasic has done as well as a more professional written program. I am still looking for a better program.RJOhHere's a couple

Vision,I have an emachines with a 400mhz celeron processor and it will do anything I can think up, so a more powerful machine would not help me. I think the Cheatah gave enough information so anyone who was interested could figure out how well his picks did. I checked the Canadian website for lotto649 and Quebec49 and their payout for the lower prizes were a little better than Ohio but not enough to make a big different. So far this year I have spent ~$2500 playing Megamillions, Ohio649P, Powe

$10 Lousy dollars
Don't feel too bad, there were a lot of players at that same store that didn't even get $10 back. Back in April when I matched 5 of six for $1500 in SuperLoto and went to get a claim form at the store where I bought my tickets I was told I was the first to win that much since the new owner tooked over the store two years earlier and she sells a lot of tickets. She said she had only had a couple of 4 of five winners since she had been there. If I had considered the number of players who played

Pick 5 or 5 ball lottery
That is an interesting idea, so I checked my Buckeye5 file for the last two years and this is what I found:05/12/95 -- 04 | 08 | 09 | 23 | 33 -- minus 1 = 04/20/02 -- 03 | 07 | 08 | 22 | 3204/20/98 -- 09 | 10 | 12 | 28 | 36 -- plus 1 = 11/27/01 -- 10 | 11 | 13 | 29 | 3702/16/93 -- 08 | 30 | 31 | 32 | 33 -- plus 1 = 11/19/01 -- 09 | 31 | 32 | 33 | 34As you can see those occurrances don't happen very close together. I also checked thet file for an update and found the following:11/09/02

Pick 5 or 5 ball lottery
On 11/01/02 the winning numbers in Buckeye5 were 02-09-22-24-35. Numbers from the posted list matched three 2 times and matched two 33 times to pay $1.97 for $10 spent. Tonight's numbers 11/02/02 were 06-08-18-21-30 matching three 3 times and matching two 26 times to pay $2.08 for $10 spent. There were 198 wins for 1614 tickets which calculates to 1:8.2 overall odds.
