I jump in whatever pool I can. There is one that I join regularly on high Mega jackpots (imagine how it got my attention when I heard the winning Mega was sold in my county, even though it wasn't my numbers)... I feel like if they happen to win when I didn't put in, if they're nice they'll give me some consolation prize being I contributed many other times, but if not, then I should have put in. On my own, I play Louisiana Lotto every drawing and I play the 5 number game Easy 5. The prizes are smaller, but the odds aren't too bad. I only play Powerball when it gets above $100 million. In addition, I run a lottery pool at work where we all put in $4 every payday and buy a mix of Powerball and Lotto tickets. We've won some small prizes of $3, $4, or $7, but haven't won the jackpot yet, but someday.

The smoking thing I don't get. If they wanted to kill the masses, they should let smokers smoke anywhere Letting people smoke is simply allowing them to commit suicide. Making the rest of us inhale their smoke would be murder. There's also the issue of who dies. I'm all in favor of plans that shift the dumb/smart ratio in favor of the smart people. It's good for the gene pool, it's good for me, and it might be better for the planet.

I'd love to see a lottorized version of roulette! A big 'ol pool of 38 balls (1 to 36 plus 0 and 00). The main 36 numbered balls would be red or black along with two green balls for 0 and 00. Standard roulette style bets and payout structure would apply to the game. Im surprised they don't have anything like this yet...probably because the house edge isn't high enough for the state.

Some members have done the same experiment with pick6 lotteries by diving the pool of numbers into six groups, A,B,C,D,E and F. Some patterns were more common than others, but that didn't seem to be any other reasons for that happening other than natural selection. Because each group had 6-9 numbers in them the pattern recognition had little value as far a predicting patterns in the future. Steve your pic3pirate has hit 4 box combos in a row in mich at a 10 drawing, and 2 in a row for 15. Am trying to watch # position to arrange for a straight hit. Whatever postition the #s are for the previous hit i am following for the next draw with the p3p picks. Awesome system thank you for bringing the # pool down to a playable level.
