Ohio SuperLotto...10/05/2002
RJOh: I'm sure all US lotteries want to sell as many tickets as (reasonably) possible. But it means having the courage to make sensible changes to (and sometimes overhauling) existing games as well as introducing new ones. With Ohio selling MM, there is no need to keep their 6/49 game as is, with or without the free play for three numbers. Eliminate the Kicker. Retire the bonus ball and go back to the 6/47 matrix. Pay $3 for three numbers, $60 if you match four numbers, and $2000 for five numb

Ohio SuperLotto...10/05/2002
To Cash only,I don't think the people at the lottery cares if MM cuts into the sales of 649P tickets as long as they sell more lottery tickets overall. They have Buckeye5 with overall odds of 1:8 for $1 and odds of 1:435,897 for a payout of $100,000.00 and MegaMillions with overall odds of 1:43 for $2 and odds of 1:135M for a payouts of $10M-$100M or better. It would be nice to see $3 for match 3 and the $1000 to $4000 for match 5 again in Ohio649 as it was in the 647 games, but I don't se

To Powerball-Ohio 6/49 players
To WishinThat nice to know and that more near the norm for most Jackpot cash value. As Cashonly points out Ohio pays about 44% of the annunity on it's Superlotto jackpot, but I don't think the state deflate the cash value but rather inflate the annunity amount because that increase ticket sales. In the past Ohio had added money to the jackpot and stated that it was simply to boost ticket sales. If the winner chooses cash, then the state comes out ahead with no increased cost and if annunity i

Buckeye5 picks 10/07
Good luck TeufelljThose numbers were for last night and there was only a match 2 among them. I revised my list for tonight. They are: 07 | 09 | 10 | 17 | 25 19 | 20 | 22 | 28 | 34 02 | 11 | 22 | 34 | 37 01 | 04 | 12 | 23 | 27 15 | 16 | 23 | 33 | 36 06 | 15 | 24 | 29 | 30 13 | 14 | 21 | 29 | 31 03 | 05 | 08 | 21 | 26 04 | 14 | 26 | 32 | 35 03 | 16 | 18 | 30 | 35I've been revising my program that I use to pick my numbers for the SuperLotto and MegaMillions and thought I would

lottery post member wins little lotto!!
To Visiondude,You are a little late with your challange to Lottocheatha. On June 29/02, he posted 260 numbers picked by his program for the Powerball draw that night and I posted 260 random numbers for the same draw, the results favored the random picked numbers, so I don't think he's going to be posting any more numbers. It's easy to said your software can beat the odds, but it hard to prove it with a public challenge. I've been watching your challenge with Sedertree, seem like you both wil

Ohio SuperLotto...10/05/2002
To Mrcoolsoul,The Bonus number only counts if you don't match all six regular numbers. If it (the bonus number) is in the combinations that match 3 regular numbers or better, you get a money prize. The winning number was 13-15-18-23-33-45 (07). You may have noticed, the most Lucky and I matched was 3 or the regular numbers so we won't win a money prize, but with the new promotion we will get a free QP combination for the next drawing.Sales of Ohio649P had slowed before the start of Megamilli

I'm new here and want to know ?
Bulkmailgirl,Which lotteries do you play? Unless you win the jackpot in a major lottery, you won't have to worry about cash/lump sum decisions. If you play the pick3/4's game, there are a lot of suggestions about what to play. If you are playing the big jackpot games, nobody has posted a winning combination yet, just a lot of opinions on how to spend the winnings. This is a good place to see what others are doing to pick their numbers and get some ideas, but if you hope to win the bigone, yo

MegaMillion picks 09/20/02
To secrett4777,The numbers I picked are random, but there are within parameters. They don't include any numbers from the last draw (only 1/3 of the winning numbers included a number from the previous draw). The numbers do not include 1 and 34 (these numbers haven't been drawn so far) and numbers that have hitted less than twice (that leaves only 40 numbers). The numbers are distributed in a similiar manners as previous winners(column 1 = 1-26, column 2 = 4-32, and etc.). The bonus numbers ar

MEGA MILLIONS
Tonbeck,First, being polite on this message board means turning your CAPS LOCK key off. It is very hard to read text that's all capitalized - and it is requested in the forum rules that you not do it.When The Big Game changed to Mega Millions it definitely became harder to win, although when you do win, the prizes are better (in most cases). Your best bet is to:(1) pick your own numbers - because it feels so much better when you pick your own numbers you win, and,(2) keep an eye on tips po
