I was in a $10 a person Super Lotto pool when the jackpot was huge and we hit 5 out 6. Won 150 bucks too. Whoopee! Wasn't there a lotto syndicate many years ago called the Wheel Deal (or something like that) where they divided the numbers in half and bought full wheels on both sets?

It is odd that a group of people would take the annuity unless this group is under 5 people. And that brings up another question. What would an employer do if all but *one of his employees were in a lottery pool and hit a huge MM or PB jackpot? *There is always one guy telling the rest they are wasting their money.

I'm very surprised that the Hoosier Lottery hasn't made a press announcement about their new record breaking jackpot. Does that strike anyone else as odd? In addition I was able to confirm that they do not post the Cash Value of the jackpot anywhere. Not on their site...not at the retailers...a customer or retailer can't even get that information from a lottery terminal print out. They told me the reason they don't post it anywhere is because it's based on ticket sales. They would not of

I want to know that you actually get the money that you won by playing online. I'm afraid to play online because some sites run scams and because I'm not sure there's a legal way to do it. Some advertise that you can play 25c per Pickit but that would normally mean they'd lose tons of money if they are actually buying tickets for you. I suspect some of these people have their own money pool that they take in and pay out from and that would certainly be illegal. Other ones are scams and they pock

I've won $50 a couple of times on Louisiana Lotto using a number that is a combination of my birthday and my age. I've also won a small amount playing my social security number. No big jackpots though. I haven't played these numbers in a long time. The lottery pool I run at work uses a number that's a combination of the birthdays of the participants, and it has won $3 and $7 a few times.

Then see my first post. The game you're describing is essentially unworkable. There are only three ways for the lottery to raise jackpots while keeping ticket prices the same. They can: 1.make the games harder to win (there's a reasonable argument that this is effectively an increase in the cost of playing), 2. reduce lower tier prizes to put more in the jackpot pool, or 3. keep less for themselves. We know that option 3 isn't likely, so pick your poison.
