Lottery winner pleads innocent to ID theft, fraud charges
1/14/2006Isn't it so,......and as MommaCat ....pointed out she signed her actual name to her scratch offs, that she paid for with the Card. Anyone, clever enough to use credit cards of deceased family members should know that you never purchase anything, that you will have to sign for outright....and again , I do not condone fraud or theft of any kind, but if she is using her Mother-in-laws card she should have been more careful. The outcome of this case should be very interesting.......

Lottery winner pleads innocent to ID theft, fraud charges
Happy Saturday Libra!I agree with you there. Not only that, but had she lost using that credit card, this would be a non-issue. The potential fraud remains the same, but the principle is that this wouldn't have been an issue if she had not won that kind of ca$h.

Lottery winner pleads innocent to ID theft, fraud charges
Because fraud was allegedly involved with the purchase of the ticket, police believe Goodenow will not be able to collect the rest of the prize money. If she is found not guilty, no apology will be issued by any law enforcement agency involved.

Lotto winner's ex-wife fights back
I see two points wrong in this whole concept: (1) To his favor, he played the lottery game and bought the ticket with (what appears to be) no fraud intended and (2) To his stupidity, he slept with her after he knew he won the money. Both are losers and deserve whatever the courts punishment turns out to be.

Stolen lottery ticket trial underway in Chicago
Deception-guilty. Committing an act of fraud- guilty. Need there be more to this case? Hmmm...This is a case that most prosecutors long for. Open and shut.

Powerball lottery madness spreads to big media
True. But the check the winner who takes a lump sum holds up bears no relationship at all to the actual pre-tax winning.A case can obviously be made for the billboard trumpeting a jackpot twice as large as actually exists. But no case can be made, once the winner takes the lump, for that giant check he's holding being anything but a deliberate obfiscation and self-serving fraud on the part of the lottery.Jack

Haynes-Web Lottery software?
I would not bother with System-X. I purchased or attempted to purchase the program using PayPal on August 19 and I still have not received a download link. I filed a dispute claim with PayPal which ruled in my favor but there was no money in his account to refund my purchase. His website is a FRAUD!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!

PB annuity
Makes Euromillions look better every day. I think if the prize were below 50% cash it would be a fraud to advertise any annuity jackpot.
