I checked this out. They operate like multi-line video slot machines. For $100, you can bet 50 cents a spin and play for hours. The purpose is to burn time. It is possible to win, but it's unlikely because of the low variance. You're grinding your money down, giving the house an average of 12% of your bet, over and over and over. Sudden wealth, no matter how big it is or isn't, has caused more problems than it has ever fixed. I voted for 10 million, but I don't really know if that's the right amount for me or not. It's Florida - using different machines, different ball sets, running practice draws before final televised draw, etc. Just crazy. I have looked at it so many ways, so is it truly the odds or do pairs/numbers repeat? Last month as an example, Mid 17th-19th - 137, 013, 307 then eve 19th-22nd - 137, 314, 311, 237. After all, if it had a pattern going, why not just extrapolate your pattern 7 drawings out? Yes, that would be much simpler and fairer. Taxes should be built into the price of the ticket, although I understand each state has different taxes and you wouldn't have a flat ticket price. Let's be honest, unless you take the actual cash and stuff it in a mattress, the winnings will be spent or invested and thus taxed at every stage - profits, dividends, interest, stamp duties, sales taxes etc etc etc. Here in Australia our Powerball jackpots are obviously much lower given our population

If I was the borrower/winner and the person who loaned me the money said, Just give it back if I need something , I would repay them anyway. If I was the person loaning the money, at my best, i'd have no expectations. If they paid me back, fine. If not, it wouldn't matter to me.
