There were 105 million tickets sold plus another $189,000 worth of the jackpot only tickets. Because it's $2 a ticket, it would take $604 million in sales for every possible combo to be sold if no duplicates were sold. Ticket sales almost doubled from the previous drawing after a 50% increase from the drawing before that. If any thing is shows more people are interested and based on the first estimated jackpot revision, I'm pretty sure a buying frenzy started.

This raise wasn't due to people buying more tickets since the last drawing, its because the 868,000,0000 was under estimated. Im sure it will increase some from ticket sales but not 100M. Unless the amount of 900M was also underestimated.

Lets look at the history of the last few draws. The jackpot hasn't updated to a greater amount so far so why would this draw not only be any different but increase by 100M by Friday?

Mega Millions are aggressive with their rollovers as of recent. People are buying tickets. I plan to purchase five or 10 lines with Megaplier tomorrow. Mega Million sales typically lag behind PB 2:1 in typical draws. I'm sure PB is stealing a considerable amount from MM considering how high PB is. But an increase of $106 Million from the last MM draw is not too shabby.
