California Super Jackpot winner for September 19th
No, it's a media section that announces when jackpots are won in California. It doesn't just list SuperLotto, it also lists Mega Millions and Powerball and (large prize) scratch off tickets that were purchased in California. It's posted the day after the lottery drawing and obviously it doesn't list who won, just that there was a winner in California and what city and where it was purchased. They do also list the names of the jackpot winners after they've collected their prize but that's not

Lottery Speak (Abbreviations, Words and Phrases)
I like Random Eliminates All Mathematics, since it's absolutely true, although a lot of players can't accept it. I disagree about eliminating all logic. Logic can't increase your chances of winning (other than buying more chances, of course), but it does point to a couple of sensible strategies. One is playing when the jackpots are bigger, since that gives you the same chance of winning more money. Logic also tells us that choosing numbers that others are less likely to play is a good strateg

Why doesn't Mega Millions show decimals in their CASH VALUE?
I don't give a hill of beans if the decimal is added to the cash value. Whole million dollar figure is fine with me. However adding cash value to Lottery Post for annuity prize jackpots would be nice.

Why doesn't Mega Millions show decimals in their CASH VALUE?
Lottery Post does not publish cash values for jackpots. USA Mega does publish the cash values for both Mega Millions and Powerball. For the advertised annuity jackpot amounts, both Lottery Post and USA Mega publish the same exact number. What do you mean three different values ?

Lottery flub pays off: Michigan co-workers win $1M
Where I used to work, we did a pool when the jackpots got high. One guy used to put in twice the amount. He said it was for his son. We stopped that quickly and said If we win, you can give him a share of your money

If Tabloids Covered Lotteries
Mega Millions and Power Ball declare, Big Jackpots are over rated. Both reduce odds so someone can win every drawing.

How much did you spend?
October is a record month for lottery jackpots. Countless nights refreshing the forums well past 1 a.m. I typically throw in a few extra dollars for each draw that exceeds $600 million. Typically Powerball rises to historic levels, but in this case both games rose to those levels in the same period. I usually spend $30-$33 a month on lottery. However I counted my tickets for October and I spent a whopping $93.00. This included a $20 scratch-off I normally don't do. Curious how much did you spend

$1.537 billion Mega Millions jackpot won by 1 ticket sold in South Carolina
For those saying that lotteries should do this or that instead of the way they are, there are plenty of lottery options out there from which to choose. Mega Millions and Powerball are designed for a specific purpose, and what we're seeing this week demonstrates they're getting exactly what they want. If they were modified to prevent the ginormous jackpots we're experiencing and instead making those dollars available to the lesser prizes, then we wouldn't be getting people throwing their money in
