They had a couple ball draw machines in storage, but, no balls left. Of course they could be acquired and certified etc. It would increase expenses and reduce the amount of money returned to the state. That is a huge hurdle to convince the powers that be.

I rarely play Powerball or Mega Millions, because of the odds and the price increase. A boycott wouldn't work because the ticket sales alone would keep the lotteries profitable. Honestly, people will continue to play anyway, because of the larger jackpots.

I read that MM is suppose to have a guarantee increase of $5 mil for each roll over, or maybe that was the estimate. Anyway, if it rolls tonight, it goes up to $48 mil which isnt bad. So, MM is selling at the new price or the lottery gods primed the pump.

Won $150 off a $20 ticket in Austin 2 months ago. I dont do it often but a good method is to buy 10 at once of the same ticket from the same location to increase the possibility of getting a bigger hit. Odds are still overall pretty bad though.
